Camille was bad but not as bad as John Stevens.

JPL- I thought he was pretty bad but compared to some others not so much.

LaToya- I liked that she didn't belt the whole song and make it one *glory note* after another. Psst...hint, hint.....Diana.

Amy- I really hate that song but I tolerated it when she sang so I guess that's good. I still think the Dixie Chicks should dump Natalie and hire Amy. lol

John Stevens- Wow that was just terrible, really bad...poor kid.

Jennifer- was meh, OK, not bad but defintely not great either.

Jasmine- I thought she did great, I enjoyed her performance.

Diana- I totally agree with Simon in regards to her, her voice is good(when she's not yelling) but her whole perfromance is just so pageant-ick!

Fantasia- I actually enjoyed her tonight and I can't believe she kept her mouth shut whehn the judges spoke, Yay Fantasia!

George- Was really good, tonight was definitely his night!

OK guys... Since last week was my first week I'm still trying to figure out when we get the results. I assume sometime today but is there another AI show to announce it.

If outta tune is problem a lot of them had issues tonight. I hadn't thought of the live band thing. I wonder if they got to practice with the band. There were a couple of good performances but I felt pretty badly for most of them.

Question:
Again it's only my second week but it seems like Paula doesn't say too many negative things. Randy is pretty nice, but honest, about it and Simon is brutally honest. Do you think Paula is being honest or just nice? Several of the performances sounded terribly out of tune to me.

I don't think John Stevens will go toight. His fan base will keep him in there. There is always a big sympathy vote. I think Jennifer and Camile will go before John does just because of the fan base issue.

Lanshark, There is another show tonight to announce who goes home.

Also, yes, Paula is pretty much always positive. While I believe that a person like that is needed to balance out Randy, who is middle of the road and Simon, who tells it like it is (although, I think is unnecessarily rude sometimes), I don't put too much stock in what she says. I guess she's good moral support.

Just a vent: If Randy says "What's up Dog? You just chillin'?" one more time after a contestant finishes, I'm going to scream. What does he think they're doing? They just finished their song and are waiting to hear the judges comment on their song in front of America. NO, they are NOT chillin! He says that to almost EVERY contestant almost EVERY time.

Oh God, you all have me laughing!!! I think it should be between Camille & John Stevens. They are both out of there league. John in my opinion only sings a certain way. He is not versatile. Camille is out of her league. George did EXCELLENT!! Perfect song choice for him. Fantasia, Latoya & Jasmine did great also. Jasmine is soo cute. I don't think Diana did all that great either. Her song choice wasn't the best. Didn't show her vocals. Just my opinion. We'll see tonight! Randy seemed like he was in a bad mood last night.

Another who can not stand Randy's comments. I'm not sure if he feels like relaxes the singers a bit before they here his comments, but it just annoys me.

Paula is always nice, she reminds me of DH's grandma who alwasy had to say something nice about someone, no matter what.

Simon is...Simon! Sometimes he is downright rude, but at least he is honest and not all wishy washy.

He always says the same things, and sometimes his comments are as rude as Simon's. Its like he's trying to compete. Some days he loves everyone, other days he likes no one. At least Simon is honest. Paula sometimes gets her point across without a lot of fluff, sometimes you can actually see her cringe trying to think of something nice to say. I usually pay the most attention to Simon's comments, because I tend to agree with many of them (except not the nasty ones!) What is his excitement with John? He is an ok singer, but I don't think he even has a shot at being the next "American Idol".

He's cute as a bugs ear, but just such a bad singer, and I think he knows it. After last night's performance, visions of Stephen King's "Carrie" appeared in my head.

What are the chances that the kids doing all of that voting, are stringing him along pitifully like William Hung, so they can make the producers give him a recording contract as a cruel joke ???

I don't know about all the kids, but the ones from his high school (very near to where I live) have been spending AI nights at the school watching the show and then voting their brains off afterward.

I just watched the show again and I didn't think John Stevens was worse than Camile or John Peter Lewis. I would love to hear him a few more weeks.

Camille, JPL and John should be in the bottom 3 this week.

As to whether or not it will happen...Camille has the cuteness factor, as does JPL...John has the sweet young boy thing going.

I love John, but last night...definitely in the bottom 3.

More likely it will be people who are less deserving to be in the bottom 3, like Amy and Jennifer.

We'll see tonight.
