I've been going to the community board way too much lately. I think it's because our little thread here isn't as active anymore.

I've gotten wrapped up in a few threads...currently one about men in women's dressing rooms...haha.

I read that one but didn't get involved. I got too much into the Fl teacher thread. There is SOOO much more I would love to say but I am just going to stay out of it and roll my eyes at home. A lot!

And speaking of the CB -- why don't some people just get blogs?

I don't know. I have a blog. I post a LOT there. I mean, I do like to share updates here about our house and whatnot. But I get way more in depth in my blog. I don't think anyone reads it...but it's still fun to write in...haha. The hubby and I have also kept a separate blog about our house.

Kind of unrelated....

But when I was in high school, we had this crazy spanish teacher. Everyone was doing pretty badly in the class (with the exception of a few people.) A few examples of her craziness....

1. If you got in trouble for something (even something small like saying something to a friend) she'd put you in a desk on the far side of the room and then she wouldn't acknowledge you for the rest of the day. If you had a question, she wouldn't answer it.

2. She used to say stuff like, (she had a thick accent because she was from venezula or somwhere) "Be quiet or I will get my gun out of my bag and kill you. You will die and go to hell." We responded with "you have a gun in your bag? I don't think you are supposed to have guns at school."

3. She also told a kid she'd cut off his head and put it in the trash can.

4. For our final exam...she put a bunch of material on it that we'd never even seen before. I think I got a 20% on it or something. I ended up with an F on my report card (as did most kids in my class.)

Needless to say...us students and our parents got her fired. And they changed our report card grades.

I need YOU in my son's class...

I know your mama bear instincts have kicked in. I'd be pretty mad too if my child wasted a year of math. And don't get me started on the standardized tests. Whatever happened to our children just learning for the sake of using the skills, rather than learning to take a test? I hope Michael doesn't take this too hard, since it obviously wasn't him, it was a bad teacher.

Funny, he sounds like a HUGE WEIGHT was lifted off of his shoulders now that he knows he wasn't the ONLY one. He was borderline depressed the past two weeks... imagine telling a child who has busted his butt all year long that they may have to repeat a grade???

My sister picked him up and when he called me he sounded like a new kid. Wait'll he see what I have planned for his stupid teacher...
