American Horror Story - Season 6, Anyone?

I do sometimes. Very much so in season one and two. Not as much in coven and not at all in hotel.

See, I can't STAND him in any of his seasons except Hotel. I thought he was awesome last year.

I wonder when Finn is showing up...I'd look, but I don't want any spoilers.

Come out, come out, wherever you are...

HOLY MOLEY

What a graphic episode. So good though..

How can they keep dragging out this storyline? The season can't be over already..

I'm wondering if they are done with this part of the story (the naration) and maybe the crew will be shooting stuff at the house, like a ghost hunter type of show.

The internet keeps saying a twist is coming...I hope it's a good one...and it involves more Evan Peters. I will be a very sad girl if that is it for him this season. :sad1:

That's exactly what I was thinking last night. To be honest with you, I'm so done with this season. But I've invested all of this time, so I guess I'll see it through.

And what the heck kind of preview for next week's episode was that?

It seems as though the twist is going to be that the film crew is now going to go into the house to document what is going on? Not much of a twist....Maybe I'm missing something? Seems like the family left so that part of the story is wrapped up. But are they just going to rehash everything and now just used the "found footage" angle? They got me until episode 6, so let's see how it goes.

Popular theory around the internet seems to be that perhaps Shelby and Matt lied about their experience only to trick others into coming back to the land? Not sure I'd be into that if that's really what happened. Would seem like we wasted about 5 episodes if that's the case. I am intrigued enough to know what the twist will be. Any thoughts?

I agree that the likely plot angle from here on out is the film crew. I don't see where else they can go with the story.

And another nit, because this season is irritating me for some reason--at the beginning, Shelby was talking about the house as being a perfect, 3 bedroom house. Now, it's always been very elaborate for a house built in 1792--but all of a sudden now, it's a mansion. Someone of Mott's wealth wouldn't be living in a 3BR house, even back then. His servants alone would need much more room than that--although they could have had separate quarters.

Well, tonight is the night. I will give this season credit for actually making me look forward to an episode. First time in 4 seasons! Kudos for that. Any last theories on the twist? Are Matt and Shelby lying? Could it be that simple?

DH and I discussed that, just looking at the house it couldn't have been 3bdrms we decided maybe servants quarters weren't counted

I am looking forward to tonight as well, since we're supposed to finally find out what the twist is. One theory I'd heard, which excited me, was that the interviews were being conducted by Dr. Ben Harmon from Season 1 - Murder House. Which I would love because it's still my favorite season, and I love Dylan McDermott. Can't wait to discuss tomorrow!

That would be awesome, as season 1 is also my favorite. Perhaps the theory that made the most sense to me, is that Shelley, Ben, and Lee are actually like the Polk family they describe. That they are murdering people, and using the story to cover up their crimes. Still not sure if that meets the test of "everything you know will be turned upside down." To some degree it does. I'm just ready to see what it is! Hoping its enough to propel the series. If its some lame Coven connection, and that's all we get, I'll sadly be out. Looking forward to discussing tomorrow.

Well, it happened. The twist is that the actors are going back into the house with the real people. How is that a twist? Are we just now going to watch all the same things, but from a different angle now? And 1 person survives. So the final twist is going to be something like that one person somehow planned it or was in cahoots somehow? That's what we get? To say I'm underwhelmed is an understatement. I thought the episode was more comical than scary. Why was the Kathy Bates thing cracking me up? Not sure if I'll continue on. Jokes on me. And that accent from Paulson? Seriously?

Thank you. I was underwhelmed as well. I thought it was just me being overly critical because everyone on Twitter was posting how they thought the episode and the twist were awesome. A TV message board I frequent had posted that this exact thing was going to happen, and I thought it was so far-fetched that I didn't buy it...so no, the joke's on me! LOL! I think I'll keep watching, out of curiosity and to see how ridiculous it gets.

I mean, let's show you all the same creepy things, but this time from a hidden camera!! Dun Dun Dun! What a twist!

And I know you have to suspend your disbelief, its TV. But you are telling me that they would agree to go back to a place where all of those terrible things happened, where they saw people killed, where they thought they would be killed, to rekindle their romance?! That's what they came up with? The hidden cameras make them feel safe?! What?! It shifted gears from a horror show to a comedy show. Was that the real twist? :)

And I hear you on the board reaction. People on redditt are loving the twist. I'm really surprised by the positive reaction. I'll give it another episode, I'm sure. If only to get a laugh or two in. Maybe another episode will prove me wrong. Perhaps watching the nurses from a hidden bathroom cam will be scary?

This. I can't believe they'd go back for any amount of money (or any other reason). I was underwhelmed with the "twist".

I did, however, love Kathy Bates in last night's episode. She just does "psycho" so well! But again, it wasn't scary, it was funny And I noticed that Angela Bassett directed--kudos to her.

+1 on Kathy Bates

Her whole scene, I was like, bow down to Kathy Bates! She is such a talented person.

I liked last nights episode only because of Kathy Bates. I will keep watching to see how her character is involved.

Agreed. Why would anyone besides Shelby, who's supposedly going to corner Ben and win him back, want to go? Then again, the actors were making fun, so I guess they don't believe and it's just another project for them. But did we ever hear Ben or Lee's motivation?

Angela's directing and Kathy's acting were both great last night!

I don't care much for reality shows, nor was I scared of Blair Witch, so I'm not sure how exciting these last few episodes are going to be for me.

I think Lee's motivation was to clear her name? It's a stretch, as they mentioned she had landed a 7 figure book deal, and she is being sued for custody of her daughter by her mother in law (not sure how leaving your child to go on a reality tv show helps you with that one). Matt's wasn't really discussed. Perhaps his motive was Shelby? He could have gone to see her without having to deal with the possibility of getting murdered by a man wearing a pig head, but perhaps he felt being almost murdered again would help him forgive his wife? It would have been more believable if they had just gone back without the real characters. To see if the blood moon made a difference. The found footage angle though, ugh. Not very ground breaking. And the affair thing with fake Matt. The wedding thing. It felt like a mess. Let's see what next week brings. Hopefully not just a rehash of the first 5 episodes, just from different angles.
