American Horror Story: Hotel

Maybe they said that line...I was so bored I didn't even hear it. As for Evan Peters, I am not a fan of him in this role. One of his best assets is his ability to show his vulnerability and this role offers none of that. This show had so much promise in the beginning. Season One was amazing. It has never lived up to that potential.
He said it during the fashion show when she mentioned the cop was very attractive.
Evan has been my favorite from day one and I loved him in season one and two. He was ok last year but useless in Coven. This is definitely different for him and I agree it doesn't use his assets well.

I agree with this statement. Unless the character changes over time, the main draw of Evan Peters has been wasted. His character is very campy and one dimensional.

I'm not even sure how this show has made it to television. I loved seasons 1 & 3 and felt there were some boundaries being pushed up against (hard). But this is... horrible. I'm not even finding it mildly entertaining. If it were entertaining, I MIGHT forgive some of the .. ick.

We turned off episode 2 near the middle, and cancelled the DVR. It will not be a show we watch.
Too racy, and there is just something that is not keeping our attention. It just is not very interesting to us.

I was pretty horrified by last week's episode (I'm sure everyone knows the scene...) but the rest of the episode interested me enough to watch this week. I find the back stories fascinating, but the Mr. March scenes were too much for me. No thank you. I'm done with this season.

I started watching this over the summer on Netflix. The first season was the best! We're in the middle of Freak Show, and enjoying it. Turned episode 2 of Hotel off half way through last night, done with Hotel. Gratuitous sex...just because they can? Not our thing. Went back to Freak Show on Netflix.

I enjoyed seasons 1-3, but HATED Freak Show. The premiere of Hotel was ok, but is anyone else confused by the characters? So many handsome, dark haired gentleman that I couldn't keep them all straight....plus more to come!

I think it's more that Ryan Murphy has a "type", as he's cast many actors with this look in his previous shows (Nip/Tuck, Glee). I don't mind it, though, since I recall them from their previous roles, so I don't get them confused.

My fiance and I are loving this season. Maybe we're weirdos...? We watch a lot of serial killer documentaries, and noticed a lot of similarities between Mr. March and the real-life H. H. Holmes. I also like that the cop is starting to make connections between the murders to the ten commandmants. It reminds me a lot of the movie Se7en, which is funny because the same production crew who puts together the opening credits for AHS also did the ones for Se7en, if I remember correctly.

I realize this show isn't really for the Disney crowd, and that's ok, but I really love it. :) I was hesitant to accept Lady Gaga in Jessica Lange's wake, but I think she'd doing a phenomenal job. Better than I expected. And the costumers are going above and beyond to really showcase their talents. I've loved everything Gaga has worn so far. I couldn't take my eyes of the chain bracelet she wore in episode 2, and the studded military cap she wore is now on my want list, lol.

Didn't even make it to the second episode. I was going to give it another shot, after watching and not liking the first episode. But there was another show going to record at the same time, and DH wanted to watch something else so I just took it off the DVR. Don't think I'll miss it at all, after what others are saying about the second episode. I'm wondering if Jessica Lange left the show because she wasn't comfortable with the script for the new season?

So, we taped the first two shows and started watching last night. About 20 minutes in, we decided it was not going to be something we'd like to watch, so deleted both episodes. We have plenty of other shows we're having a hard time keeping up with. I now have to remember to take it off our subscriptions.

I believe she had already said she was done after 4 seasons.

We also think maybe they are trying to go too far...its almost 'silly' if that's the correct word. They better start giving more story and less demented sex. But I do say Matt Bomer is just so hot to look at.

Ugh... I WANT to love another season like I did Murder House!
WHY do they always have to have so much going on with a million different storylines and backstories??? I might give it one more episode but I really hate how disjointed it is already.

It's so weird to me that people say they loved murder house and hate this season..maybe I'm the only one who remembers the psycho doctor storyline. Yes, it wasn't a main focus but it was still there. Call me another weirdo but I am totally digging this season.

I also am loving this character
for Evan Peters, it's actually the first time I've liked him on the show. Granted, the only only other seasons I've seen are murder house and freak show but I couldn't stand him in either of those.

No I remember it, but there was only like two or three things going on the season.

I really, really wanted to like this season! I really did! But the first episode was awful! I don't want to watch (as someone else said) soft-corn snuff porn. Come on! I want a good story! Looks like they are starting to develop a plot now with March and Gaga's vampire story line....

Second ep was better than the first, but that's not saying much. At least this one tried to have some kind of story. I'm not totally convinced yet, but I'll give it one more week to see if it's going anywhere interesting beyond warped porno.

This may have already been stated...I haven't read all the replies...but does anyone else else feel like they are watching the movie The Hunger with David Bowie? I know there are quite a few more story lines but I seriously can't get past this.
