Okay, so you know I had to buy a couple of patterns, too. Customs for the AG doll!! Gotta love it!!!

My dd doesn't have many freckles, but she does have a quite a few -- more than my younger dd. Anyway, I always tell her how much I love her freckles -- especially in the summer when they are a bit more noticable. And I really do love them. My dd has a friend that has a few freckles and this girl's mother has had them airbrushed out of a few photos of her dd. She said she doesn't want her dd to look back at these dance portraits years from now and hate them because they show these "imperfections." Poor girl!!

I'm glad you got some patterns too! I think it will be so sweet to have little matching outfits. I am scared that it will be hard to sew something that little, but I am hoping I can manage a couple of peasant tops and twirl skirts.

What? Freckles are not imperfections!!! That is crazy nonsense! Megan does not have many freckles yet because I am crazy with the sunscreen but I have a ton. In fact, one time I bought new make-up and my husband told me to throw it out because it covered up by freckles! My grandmother used to tell me that's where the angels kissed me.

Update: I returned the doll and ordered Nellie:

I was going to order the curly haired one, but I just got scared that it would be too much to handle. Thanks for all your help!

My DD has Niki and Jess (girl of the year last year.)

She really wants Samantha because she does "look just like" my DD. (brown hair with bangs, brown eyes....) She is interested in Nellie too, because it is her friend. Nellie was my grandmothers name, and would have been around the same age so it interests me.


As of now there are no AG dolls that look like my younger DD who has curly brown hair and blue/green eyes.

The problem is my twins are they are bigger, too bad they are cute dolls.

One doll only, yeah right. I don't see that happening. They are addictive. Sorry to break the news to you. The quality is amazing and you won't regret it. So much better then wasting money on Bratz and things like that.

I hear you! DD6 got her first AG doll for her birthday in July- a Just Like Me. This is not our first experience with AG, we have Bitty and the twins, but she really wanted the bigger doll. So my mom and I took her to American Girl Place in Chicago with her doll (in matching outfits ) and we went to brunch and the American Girl Review. Now she knows all the stories of the historical dolls and loves them all!!!! DH thinks I am nuts, but we will continue to buy her dolls as long as she is interested- they grow up too fast!

A mom can hope right? I have been intercepting the catalogs and hiding them for about a year now. I don't want her to know all the choices out there!

Those babies are cute too, but I am lucky in that she is not much interested in baby dolls.
