American Girl Doll Question

DD has two AG dolls now the last two years girl of the year and now she wants McKenna and a My American Girl doll. I would really like her to get one of the historical dolls. But of course they are her dolls and I want her to enjoy them. She's the type of kid that would change her mind and ask for a historical doll because she thought it would make me happy. So I try not to inject my opinion too much.

I think my mom might get her one for Christmas and we might get her one as well. But she also wants some furniture so we may go that route instead. She has an armoire that I ordered online but I've seen it at Target too and its really nice. But she has tons of clothes. I got lots of really cute stuff on ebay and etsy for really reasonable prices. She has some real AG clothes too but I supplemented with stuff off Ebay and a few things off etsy.

I've kept the doll boxes and the box for the armoire so when she's tired of them she can pack them away to save for her children. I never got into them, I think they were not real popular around here until after my time, but my niece has my sisters and so DD already knows she wants to keep her's for her own kids.

We have table and chairs, horse, and styling chair from the Target My Generation dolls.

My daughter has some of the Target My Generation stuff and it has held up well.

And I just might have to get Caroline for myself...since they retired my Kirsten without ever giving her a friend.

Do the Target our generation clothes and accessories ever go on sale?

PB got McKenna and gym accessories (the bar, wedge, and beam set, and her grip bag with snacks and water bottle). I didn't like the leo that AG sold (honestly, it's really ugly, lol - sorry AG). There's this awesome Etsy store, Lil Fliprz, that makes doll leos - she even custom-makes competition leos to match the Big Girl version. They're the same material as the real thing and way easier to get on (PB might have more leos for McKenna that is necessary...)
