I want Jr to make it because the smugness of senior is just awful. I would also like to see them make-up. It's sad.

We have been watching this show from the start. I'd like to know what the real story is. Is Jr as useless as they say he is?

Is it true that snr is estranged from several of his children not just one? If that is so it must be the father with the problem. Will watch one of his shows to try and see what is going on.

Jr is so arrogant!!! He needs to learn responsibility. Michael also needs to find his way in life without Daddy's money. Not sure what the problem is with the other son that owns the Iron shop.

I just hate the thought of a father and son being estranged. Definitely wish they'd work out whatever the problem is -- but they both have very strong personalities, so I can see how their egos could clash. Also, I'm sure having your life on tv can mess up family dynamics, too (ala Jon and Kate).

I posted the poll while I was watching a DVR episode last night, I was just curious how other people feel about it. I don't think people who disagree with me are wrong it's all just the way we feel after all. I'm pulling for Jr. We haven't watched every episode back from OCC but have been fans enough to think the Dad always seemed like such a bully to me. Jr would just do his thing and Sr would go out of his way to trash talk everything. Now Sr puts Jr down at every chance he gets and spends all his time comparing himself to his son, it's so odd. It also seems to me that the only time Jr brings it up is when someone off camera asks a question because his statements always seem like responses, not random thoughts while Sr's always seem like his words are his own thoughts, KWIM.

I was very disturbed by an episode of Jr vs Sr a week or so ago. Sr OK'd the creation of a life size body/doll of his own son took all his guys outside and laughed as they launched a motorcycle with his son over a jump which crashed and crushed the fake Jr. My DH and I just looked at each other speechless, it was really demented to me. Oh, and Sr is always going on about that new kid in his shop about how he's the son he wishes he had and the kid is such a little weirdo... Sr seems like a very strange dude. Who does and says stuff like that???? If you check out the TLC website you can see part of the motorcycle thing, 'It's a Bird, it's a plane"

The show is on our DVR. I hope they can work it out as a family but no matter what Jr and Mikey HAD to get out from under that guys thumb in my opinion. I don't want anything bad to happen to Sr but I really want to see Jr succeed. I thought how Jr handled Mikey saying he was finding his own space was really supportive.
