American Airlines Discount

I was in Costco yesterday and noticed that they sell American Airlines gift cards. The cards have a value of $300 each and sell for about $270. I read the fine print quickly and it appears you can use up to 8 of these per ticket. You can also use them on AA's partner airlines as long as you book on the AA web site...I assume this means code share.

Earlier this year I bought Universal Studios tickets at Costco. I asked if they were returnable and was told that they were as long as they weren't used. I assume the some would be true with the AA gift cards.

Has anybody ever used these? Experiences???

I have never used these (can't remember the last time I flew AA), but I can't see how there could be a problem. Costco is a reliable vendor.

In many cases gift cards are not returnable, even at Costco. I'd check that before buying them
