Hard to argue about something no one from the US is watching.

By this logic, so are Mexicans. Can you imagine the RAGE if Mexicans started calling themselves American LOL

Stream on the internet. Practically ANY sporting event can be streamed, often in high definition, for free.

And June has been pride month for years and years everywhere.

That's great! Especially when there are cities, like in Florida, that didn't hold Pride events this year. (Probably can't post a link.) NYC had some of the strongest COVID regulations for outdoor events, so only last year, did we start having celebrations & parades and such again for everything, not just Pride events. This is the first year we are really back to full celebrations. When a coworker mentioned at the beginning of June she was going to a pride celebration and I knew it was too early for the huge parade and festival held at the end of June, that's when she mentioned it's a whole month now.

Pre-pandemic, I did get to see Madonna doing a sound check for Vogue and then later watch the actual performance at the festival. Crap, just saw the videos of her performance got deleted off YouTube.

The Stonewall Inn here, the national landmark for where the gay rights movement started did have celebrations the whole month. Now that I think of it, I think they usually do. They unfortunately also had about 68 flags damaged and desecrated in some way three times over the month. If the perpetrators are caught, it will definitely be as a hate crime.

My town of Brighton is SYNONYMOUS with Pride culture. I mean, good grief, at the end of my road is the Pink Pamper. No prizes for guessing what goes on there! The Pride flag is flown city wide all year around as a mark of dignity and you know what? Long may it continue!

She also mentioned that her experience with uterine fibroids and the care she received in Louisiana was excellent. It was specifically only the lack of abortion access that she was critiquing. I just wanted to make sure people understand the details. They didn't deny treatment for other gynecological issues.
