Amending a Disney booking

hi guys,

I understand that there is a £25 amendment fee to be paid when you amend an existing booking, but I'm sure I've heard that if you amend the booking to a more expensive package (ie the amendment is to add a few extra nights) then the amendment fee is waived and you only have to pay the difference.

Does this sound right? Has anyone done this?

I had to amend a room only booking with Disney UK last year because I'd stupidly booked the wrong date - phoned up and the cast member changed it for no fee but I don't know if that was usual or she just felt sorry for my stupidity

I upgraded from a moderate to a deluxe last year and didn't have to pay an extra fee - just the extra cost of the new hotel.

I made an amendment to my Disney booking with Disney UK in early December. It increased the price of my package. I asked about the amendment fee prior to instructing them to proceed with my amendment and the person on the phone told me that if you increase your package price, even if nominally, there is no fee. Hope I am not too late to be of any help.

Three days ago I emailed Disney to ask about charges if I upgraded my 4 nights at Pop to Coronado Springs. Within 2 hours Disney phoned me to say there would be no amendment fee to upgrade. She changed my booking there and then.

I upgraded resorts and they were more than happy to take my extra money and didn't charge. Lol.

i extended ours last year by a few days and didnt have to pay the amendment fee. most places wont charge this if your increasing the price of the booking
