Amazon seems to really be

I buy a lot of items from amazon. I had a customer service contact 2 days ago when season 1 of our new TV series showed um with a damaged box. Customer service made it right with just a quick IM conversation.

Thanks to Amazon Prime, the people at my office think I am magic; they tell me they need something, and within a couple of days I hand it to them. If they really, really want it, I hand it to them the next day.

I've had a couple of problems in the past with Amazon when I wasn't a prime member and I 100% believe that Amazon took care of their prime members first. I wasn't satisfied with the outcome of the second issue so I boycotted for a while, probably well over a year. I do again buy a lot from them and so far happy again. I have been prime more often then not and no issues ever as a prime member. I do feel I should be treated the same no matter what type of member I am.

And just because, issue #2 was over a Star Wars lego book. I purchased mine while it was still in stock, it was in stock for a full two days after I had ordered with an estimated delivery date originally of December 20 something (can't remember the exact day). About two days after it was OOS my status suddenly changed to back ordered. I specifically ordered it for DS's birthday and it no longer was arriving before or even close, his bday is Dec 27th. I called and got a story about how they didn't have enough, blah, blah, blah and they would overnight me one. They overnighted me one in April! 4 months after I purchased it!! Who needs it overnighted then!!! My biggest beef was I read on here all the prime members who ordered after me and got their books before Christmas.

Issue #1 was also a shipping issue. Christmas Elmo DVD's and ship date was January. I ordered in November and didn't understand. I called to cancel after about two weeks when I noticed they hadn't arrived and that is when I checked the date. They had no clue why it was set to ship then, they were in their warehouse and they shipped immediately. I don't want to have to go out of my way to order an item from someone though.

I have been buying from Amazon for many years, and have never had a problem. The few times that I have contacted them due to an issue, resolved in one phone call.

I never got a free TV, but have, on occassion, gotten a bonus something in my box. I contacted them as a "heads up" and have been told each time to keep the item to make up for my inconvenience.

Never have I found it inconvenient to get a freebie. :snooty:

I once got a roll of packing tape included in an Amazon shipment (obviously accidentally dropped in while packing).

FYI, baby formula is NOT used to manufacture drugs. It is used to cut (dilute) them.

But you are an online complainer, ;)

I don't believe you have any right to complain if you don't give a business a chance to make things right. It is entirely possible the packer simply didn't notice the can was dented.

Hmmm. I should not complain ...IMO I believe when I called them, they had their chance to make it right and didn't. If I believe they knew they shipped me a dented can... I believe it.

IMO asking me to ship the can they shipped me knowing if was dented is not making it right. Especially if they looked at my order history, I imagine i spent 12k- 20k easily there last yr and not 1 return. If i threw a fit maybe they would have just shipped a new can. .. But That is not me, I did tell them the problem, I called a human not a click online... And I feel I have every right to not use them n complain. It is okay if you feel they could have missed it, or if you feel it could have been ruined in transit, the thing is I don't. I feel they just tried to get rid if a return they had, or a product they damaged prior, and for me although in a urgent situation ... I would look else where.

N FYI I placed a 200$ is order for diapers n formula, grout snacks, syrup, stuff I normally buy at amazon, just fine online at Walmart.

Their policy is to send a replacement immediately. Sometimes they need the item returned, sometimes not. It depends on the item, not the person. I think you got someone who was not explaining well.

I think Amazon is definitely changing and not for the better, however I do believe their actual CS is very good.
I just saw that an electronic device I ordered was shipped with some liquid fabric softener I had ordered a couple weeks ago. (2 separate orders, the fabric softener was supposedly back-ordered but I'm thinking they just didn't want to lose money sending it out on its own). I'm not sure who in the shipping dept thought it was a good idea to package them together, and I know from experience that there is a strong possibility that the FS will leak. If they do, I don't expect any problems from CS when I call to have them send a replacement electronic device and replacement FS in seperate shipments because I do believe their CS is top notch. They have always made an effort to make things right.
