I ordered some stuff on Saturday and they offered me $1 off a movie purchase if I could wait a week for my order instead of having it in 2 days so I assume this is their way of lowering shipping costs. I am in no rush so I took the credit.
Up from $35 in the US. Or you need to have $25 in books.
Got on Amazon with a new computer today and saw this. Prime is worth the cost.
I never thought about buying things one at a time to get the $1 credit for each item!I use this all the time because I have prime through my sister; but it seems like it isn't much of a savings when you pay for prime to begin with; unless you order A LOT, you've paid way more than $1 a shipment to get sped up shipping; so to get only $1 to slow down shipping seems strange.
But last year I got $40 in incentives, which was nice. I do order everything 1 at a time, even on the same day, for that benefit; but amazon always combines the orders so they ship together, I just get more of a credit. Seems like they should just offer the benefit per item![]()
Most likely the things are shipping from different warehouses, so they come to you separately. We have several things on subscription from Amazon and even though many of them ship on the same day they often come in separate packages. Just depends on which warehouse has stock of the items when you order them.Sometimes we buy things together and Amazon splits them as well... not sure why but we bought two things together yesterday and it shows up in orders as separate items.
This. I find Walmart or Target to be comparable in prices. And with my Target red card I get 5 percent off and free shipping. Walmart has free ship to store.Well that will definitely hamper how often I shop from Amazon. Anymore I don't find their prices to be that competitive anyways and $50 is way too much for free shipping from them.
I did a prime trial over Christmas and enjoyed it, but not sure it's worth the cost for the yearly amount I shop from Amazon.
