Whenever I bought a dvd or cd from Amazon I got a credit for a free music download that I never used. Are they saved somewhere because now my kids tell me they want to use them? I can't find anything listed under my account but I must have tons of these somewhere, or do they expire soon after purchase?

It's hard to find. You have to select an MP3 that you want to look at (album's fine). On the right, there are two orange boxes in a green box -- Buy MP3 album / Give album. Under there, there's a dollar sign in a blue star -- click the statement: "Redeem a gift card or promotion code & view balance." It will list your promotional balance.

For video balances, the process is similar, but it's below the description and reads: "Have a promotion code? Redeem a gift card or promotion code View Balance." Select "View Balance."

OMG!! Thank you so much for posting this. I have always wondered where I can view my balance at. I usually just end up buying something and hoping I still have a credit left, lol!

I made an Amazon purchase on December 5. On December 12 I got an email informing me I had a promotional credit of $1 from that order that must be used by January 31. So I would think depending on when you placed the order will determine when the credit expires.

Thanks, they don't make it easy to find! How long before they expire? It says I only have $4 and I should have a lot more than that!

I haven't found that they list them -- think you need to keep the emails -- they are generally pretty limited (60 days or less).
