Does Amazon adjust a price if the price drops within a few weeks?

An item I had in my cart jumped by $30 before I got to hit purchase button!
I've been watching it and it's coming down very slowly, worried I'll run out of time to get it before Christmas but hate to pay the higher price.

They used to do price adjustments a while back ,they don't do it anymore,except if you pre order something and the price drops before it ships or on tv's I think.So many times I have ordered from them and the next day the price drops,its very annoying,lol.

Yes, and I think Amazon adjusts their prices based on inventory too.
