4 essentially grown people--who are probably not as in shape as they thought choosing to take the cart instead of building the building.

2 people had to ride and 2 people had to push/pull...and there were hills involved.
I guess that it just seemed odd since they could take turns and another adult team did so well. But I know that I couldn't have made it two feet! ;)

I agree. Any time there is a detour my fiance and I always say if we were playing the game which thing we would pick. This time, he said buggy and I said build. Half way through watching the buggy task he said, 'ok, you would've been right.' Boy, I never get tired of hearing that :rotfl:

It was so cute when the little girl said "Gaghan family, you're team number one" when they were on the way to the pit stop. She's just an 8YO, but obviously a big fan of the show.

The Black family lives in the next town over from me. It is exciting to see folks in the game that live right near you.

I felt bad that they were eliminated tonight. They tried so hard.

They are showing them praying a lot, but so many of the other teams yell "Oh my God" frequently too. I prefer the praying ones to the ones who yell about God carelessly.

I can't imagine that the teams with the kids are going to be able to keep up with the all-adult teams for long.
I could do without the praying for every little detail. I don't think God cares if they get to the pit stop first. I didn't even notice anyone saying "oh my god".

And did you notice that the Gaghans (two little kids) beat the heck out of the strong, young siblings. Granted they had less weight to carry, but they also had less strength (or so it seemed).

They're from NY not NJ! ;)

That's what I thought, but then someone yelled here comes the Jersey family during the show.

Oh, I hope the Italian family goes first. I can't believe the mother just told the dad to make sure the son shapes up. Uh, hello. That's your job--obvious you haven't been doing it.

That's BOTH their jobs. What brats.

I only started watching last season (because of Rob and Amber) so I don't have much to compare to, but I like this so far.

where do you guys get that sparkly font? I love it.
Thanks.

Hmmmm... I wonder if they plan on putting other old team members throughout the show.. sort of llke TAR Hidden team members!! LOL!! I can't believe Only one team recognized the guys!! And they are from NY.. so.. perhaps whenever they are in a state that a previous team member was from they might just show up.. have to keep my eyes peeled! :)

Oh my gosh. I thought I was seeing things. :3dglasses I thought, geez those hot dog guys look familiar. And then I wondered if it was Kevin and Drew. I'm glad I'm not going crazy! It would be really cool if other teams showed up somewhere in the race.

I don't know what to make of this season so far. I really miss the chaos that ensues when people rush to book flights and fight to get taxis. I also like seeing other parts of the world. One thing that bothered me during this race is because there are so many people it makes it harder to remember who is with who. Also the incessant chatter amongst that many people gets irritating after awhile. Teams of 4 tend to shout over one another. I think I'll be glad when they go back to two person teams.

I liked the Black family and was sad to see them eliminated. But I kept shouting at the tv, "you have to go faster." They really dawdled in some scenes. I loved how the Dad picked one son up and out of the creek. You could see how upset they all were coming in last place.

Less weight be the Gaghans are marathon runners which I'm sure played a big part in being able to finish the task on the physical side.

I actually like the fact that they're staying so long in the U.S. I always wondered why they don't spend more time here when we have so many diverse places to go.

However, I like the plane hopping too... it just gets annoying when it's such an equalizer.

I like the local traveling too so far. It seemed like early on in the series that the teams tended to spend more time in one country than they have been the last few years. I enjoy seeing stuff in the USA too and I'd LOVE it if they spent some time in Canada.

I thought it was great!! I work in Washington Crossing, PA, in fact a stone's throw away from the park and I had NO idea they were filming there LOL. Wonder when it was. Because a lot of the roads are closed and detours since the storm in April.

Anyway, I was so sad to see the Black family eliminated last night. I liked seeing them all work together and how proud and positive they were of eachother. Unlike that other family. Man, they were unreal. I know there was a lot of editing I'm sure, but how could you talk to your family that way?

I do like the Gaghan family and I like the Linz family, they just crack me up. :rotfl:

We especially like the dad and 3 daughters. (Of course that might have something to do with the fact that WE have 3 daughters!);)

The family from the Bronx has got to go! This time, instead of spouse abuse like we saw with Jonathan and Victoria, it's parent abuse we're seeing with those two boys! DH said if they were his, he would have let them have it a long time ago!

I was so sad when the Black Family lost. The one son was so brave. He wanted to cry but was really trying to hold it together. The had such a good attitude! Unlike the Italian family - those kids are awful. I want them to go NEXT!!

I live outside Philly so it was neat to see the local stuff. My MIL was raised in MT. Joy. I finally got my DH to watch this great show- I think because of the location so far.

Just subscribing to this thread so I can find it later and read all the posts :)

Not sure how I like the show this season yet. I have to give it a few more times yets.

I was sorry to see the Black family go. They seemed like a nice family but just could not keep up.

Do not like the mom, dad and their 2 brats!!!! I hope they come in last soon.

The only teams I sort of rooted for is the Weavers, the dad and his son-in-laws, and the siblings.
Of course all that could change next week.

Not sure if I like the 4 member teams, it is hard to keep names straight!!! :teeth:

Oh come on! You could tell it was a total act for the cameras. the kids were not out of control with anger, and half the time they said somethimg smart-alecky, they had a smirk on their face. The mom did not seemed bothered by it, in fact she tried to egg them on by telling them how much she looooved them. To me, they seemed like a normal full-blooded Italian family, and what family wouldn't make remarks and fight in a stressful situation like that, where decisions need to be made, and there are 4 people trying to make them.

But, speaking of the family from the Bronx, how IRONIC that the family who lives in the Bronx is the family who gets lost in Manhattan! :rotfl2:

IMO, the next family that needs to go are the 4 sisters. I woke up this morning hearing their screaming in head! UGH.

OMG! I was so excited to see who the hot dog vendors were! I loved how they had a comment on some of them. Mr. Aiello was going to have a heart attack! :rotfl2: I can't beleive it took so long for one of the teams to recognize and acknowledge them.
