Apparently it IS an appropriate fashion for national television since nothing was censored.

Fashion isn't censored. Only wardrobe malfunctions are. :teeth:

The Paulo's behavior wasn't necessarily censorable--but that doesn't make it okay and appropriate.

There are lots of things in the spectrum of television that will not get sensored...but that doesn't mean that they are the epitome of appropriateness.

I don't care who was dressed inappropriately--but when you go on national television...you can dress for comfort (which I'm sure that is what the girls are doing)--while dressing in an appropriate fashion for national television.

So would mooning be appropriate action for an adult? It seems that so many are making nasty comments about teen girls bodies and how these CHILDREN talk and act. I haven't heard half as much about the adults and how they are talking and acting. It really is sad that these healthy looking young girls are getting slammed for their bodies.

My guess is when you're the Weavers.

I have no problem with their outfits. They seem to be dressing for comfort, not to mention it looks like this was shot during the warmer months. As far as their bodies, good grief! No they're not supermodels, but it's not like they are obese. I think it's pretty rotten talking smack about TEENAGE girls bodies.

This is exactly what I'm thinking!!! What if I got on amazing race and decided to wear bathing suit shorts everyday... so what?!?! If you are racing... it is different that simply 'being on national television'.

Also, I put this in a post earlier... but, the Weaver girls aren't wearing those shorts with loads of makeup and high heels... if they were... then I think we could start calling them sleazy and have real evidence. :smooth:

They have been raised with beliefs that differ from the Christian mainstream, but are led to believe that they are Christian and no one else likes them because of it.

I hope they find some happiness in their lives.

I think they are very new Christians, from the way they were talking, they just turned to God when their dad/husband died. So they are just newborn Christians. Maybe they don't know just how to act yet?

I feel really sorry for them, losing their father/husband.
And to keep having to do things on racetracks-that is just weird!! If another race track thing comes up, I have serious suspicions!!

Someone else mentioned earlier about the way the teams get along with their family members. All of the other teams fight. All of them. Except the Weavers. They all love, respect and honor each other. I have never heard them say a negative thing to each other. They are encouraging to each other, and cheering each other on in the tasks. They work very well together. And--those kids respect their mother. That says a lot. Funny nobody has mentioned that yet.....

Honestly I didn't even notice what they were wearing...so i won't comment on it, but did want to mention that when they were doing the race track road block someone said it was 101 degrees.

Also, my motto has always been "just because they make it in my size doesn't mean I have to wear it" LOL
Edited to add, that is my personal motto, don't want to start a debate on if I think the Weavers should live by it ;)

That is true, and you have a point, but what bugs me is their disrespect for everyone around them, and then they ask Jesus to help them win a game. That's my opinion.

The comments about the weavers are no different than teh other threads on here reagrding the famous prostitots if they are fair game then the Weaver girls are even more open to criticism being in the public eye like they are.

Famous protitutes? What??

People can criticize teenage girls bodies all you want, I still say it's a ROTTEN thing to do.

Truthfully--I missed the mooning episode.

I had knee surgery...I didn't realize that I must go and review episodes so that I could be equally disgusted across the board.

It's a tv show people.

Let it go!

Regardless of body type--they dress horribly--as a good portion of the teen population does.

No no not prostitutes the threads were about younger girls dressing in low rise pants and crop tops etc and they were affectionatley known as "prostitots". I stand by my comments about then not being proportioned well enough to justify the clothing or lack there of now if they were shaped like the Bransen girls sure knock yourself out but not in the form they are. But hey to each their own and if you wear it I will comment on it if I see you.

I don't see the need to put down those that happen to dislike the Paolas. Do you want to bring yourself down to Paola level? I really don't want to see this thread get closed because of your nasty post. Understand? I feel sorry for you if you have to live in a family that even resembles them. I have known many a working class family and none have ever degraded their parents like that little punk did. None have ever told their kids they were going to knock them in the *** head. If they are the real family then give me a stepford family any day.

First of all my post wasn't nasty at all. I didn't use foul language, and I didn't use any namecalling.

I just don't understand how people can be so oblivious about the real world at times. I'm not ripping those people apart, I'm just rather baffled by that mindset.

Not everyone needs to like the Paolos, we all have our favorites and thats cool. I just don't understand why the hatred seems to be so severe, they seem to be just the typical American family to me. Remember not all families have to be the same.

BTW.... the Paolos aren't bad people. It seems that they got along with all teams (Weavers excluded), and it was awesome when they told the Bransens to put the clothes on.

Probably because of all the negative things they have said and done to everyone else. All the negativity overrides anything nice they may have said or done for each other. How hard is it to be nice to your own family members? They have a tendency to gang up on the other teams and the Mom encourages their behavior which I find immature of her at times. Didn't they say in the very beginning that they didn't care what other people thought about them and that they only trusted each other? Just seems like a very abrasive attitude, especially from people who constantly profess to be christian. Whether they are new Christians or not, they certainly should know basic courtesy. That has nothing to do with religion. They choose not to show others common courtesy or respect, but expect to be shown respect and courtesy.

When the mooning episode aired, it was talked about. I think the talk about the Weavers is more elevated because they do something EVERY episode that people find distasteful. If the Branson girls or anyone else for that matter continued with their lewd behavior on every episode they surely wouldn't be a favorite team either. Not to mention the fact that the other teams aren't walking around acting as if they have done no wrong. They recongnize their faults and admit them.

Come to think of it corrine, when the girls and the boys kept referring to the incident in the next episode....there was plenty of talk on her about it and the profanity (that was bleeped) being on a Family show.

going off the current topic a minute but I am watching an old amazing race on the game show network and I actually have to mute it a lot tonight!! I just can not stand that witch (and that is being nice about it!) yelling at her partner Will.....all she does is put him down, "your an idiot" "your a moron"..,.man I would have to smack her in the face and quit if I was him, no way could I stand being with her that length of time!!!

I have NO clue which season it is...its not the one with Rob and Amber though...

Very funny---they went on the Rosie O'Donnell show after their episode...and Rosie kind of put Will in his place. I remember them being very annoying and him not being a very nice person. (I think her reaction wasn't that great either).
