I also joined the league.

It confuses me though when I answer the questions, nowhere did it mention the DISboards league....hope the league gets credit for my answers....it worked last week so I guess it will work again this week.

So far I like(in no particular order)
The Father/Daughter team-Jim/Marsha
The cousins Charla/Myrna
The Bowling Moms-No idea what their names are

We'll see how it my opinion changes over the following weeks. I was glad to see a "dating" couple go. Way to many of them for me to keep track. Did you notice all the dating couples are gorgeous? Why not an ugly dating couple....they could all be models! The only people who are not gorgeous are the bowling moms and the internet couple. That kind of thing just kills me. Like on Big Brother(which I don't watch) in every scene the girls are wearing bikinis and the men just shorts, nothing else. They don't need to use sex appeal to get me to watch AR.

Anyway, looking forward to next weeks show!

I thought it was a great first episode. I was afraid with it being an hour and a half it would be boring, but thankfully it wasn't.
I'm not a big Alison fan either, but unfortunately I have a feeling she'll be around a while

I was also glad to see how well the bowling moms are doing. I doubt they'll win, but it would be nice to see then go far

Hi everyone! I'm just getting around to posting, but I am a die-hard AR fan! To show you how much I love the show, here's what I had to do to watch it: At 4:20 on Tuesday afternoon, a storm came through our area. A tree one block south of us came down on top of power lines, cutting power to a 3 block area, including us. It was 15 minutes until time for the race to start and still no power. I said to DH, "I can't believe I've had it on the calendar for two months that today would be the start of AR, and we don't have power!" He looked at me and said "There's a TV at my office, but it doesn't have cable." I told him we didn't need cable....and we were in the car and on our way! Our power didn't come back for 49 hours....but I got to see the race!

We liked the internet couple but especially the father/daughter team. DD and DH would have liked to apply for the AR, but you must be 21 and DD is only 18. For that reason, the father/daughter team holds a special place for us. We do NOT like Charla and Mirna. I thought they would be one of our favorites but all that whining is getting on my nerves!

I am MaryJ76 on reality planet. Only scored 50 points this week. Hope to do a little better next week now that I know a little bit about the teams.

My DS7 loves this show. He's been understanding what's going on for the past three races. DW and I love that he's getting a geography lesson without even realizing it.

I signed up last wk and have tried to go on the site several times and it says my user name is inactive. I never got the e-mail they told me I would get after signing up. I left a e-mail to the person named David to let him know about this and never heard from him either. So sorry guys I really wanted to play this but I guess it's just not in the cards....................

Woohoo!!! From a reality show website:

Tuesday's season premiere of CBS' The Amazing Race 5 got the series off to a great start, with the first post-victory broadcast of last year's Emmy-award winning reality show winning its time period and drawing the program's best rating performance since the finale of The Amazing Race 3.

Hopefully, TAR will do well this year and we won't have to worry so much about it being cancelled.

I'm off to play the game at Reality Tv Planet. It's extra hard now with the new twists.

I read somewhere (sorry, can't remember where) that the producers were so pleased with AR5 that AR6 has already been greenlighted. If the first episode is any indication, I think this may be a great season.
