Geez, I didn't check in for the last couple days, things were busy with school and everything. I almost had a panic attack that I missed the application process!! I submitted my app this morning and added my name to the Google doc. Thanks so much for coordinating that, what a handy tool!

Hello All! I just submitted my application after checking this thread and realizing that my computer cache must have been bringing me to an old version of the Moms Panel page. I have had such a busy schedule lately that I thought bookmarking the page and checking it often would be a foolproof way to be sure I didn't miss the start of the submission period. Thinking it strange that I wasn't seeing a change on the Moms Panel page, I logged on to the DIS and 'lo and behold!', was I glad I did! After seeing this thread had grown by about 25 pages since I'd last checked in, I frantically found the right link and was relieved to see I was still in time to participate. I made it to round 2 last year and actually enjoyed producing the video required for that stage. No doubt I was nervous and I definitely hoped that those responsible for choosing the panel would find what they were looking for in my video. So many have their own love of Disney to share, so I've promised myself not to become anxious as the days pass. I say that now... Glad to have read the posts here re: the dole whip controversy after I submitted..I would for sure have agonized but believe I would have still have selected 'pineapple'.

My attitude this year is: If it's meant to be, it's meant to be!

To all that enter this happy place -welcome!! Always remember what Walt said "It's kind of fun to do the impossible" Believe in yourselves and more importantly, believe in your dreams! Now on a lighter note, am I the only person finding it totally hysterical that we've probably filled 15 pages second guessing the Dole Whip question! Only a true Disney fanatic would appreciate that! May you all be skipping down Main Street in your pink or blue shirts and your yellow dancing shoes

Okay now I am freaking out about my answer to this question....


"My favorite hotel at the Disneyland Resort has a special feature. Select the feature below with the correct hotel where it's located."

I answered it to be my personal favorite feature....but now I am wondering what does Disney consider a feature? AND are they talking about my personal favorite feature....or are they talking about the author who wrote the question...which I am guessing would be Laura Spencer????

did not choose DLR, but from what you wrote, I assume there were multiple correct answers. Not asking for the author's favorite, but looking for you to identify a correct feature/hotel pairing. That would demonstrate you know something of the resorts, or that you know how to find the answer.

As long as you chose a correct pairing of feature and hotel, you have nothing to worry about.

I agree that this was a strange question that stopped me for a few minutes too. Many possible answers, some were correct combinations and a few were incorrect. But the part that confused me was the reference to "my favorite hotel has a special feature". Who's favorite hotel and what is considered a special feature? I don't consider the restaurants at GCH to be "special" features, but they were options. The DCA back door park entrance or rooftop WOC viewing area would be "special features" at GCH to me but they weren't there.

Oh well, I know that as long as we picked a valid combination of hotel and something at the hotel, it should be counted as correct. However I think the wording of that question was not really thought through (and IMHO was more confusing than the WDW Dole Whip special ingredient question).

The question was posted a couple of times on this thread regarding the Mickey Moms Club, and what it is, or I should say "was." The MMC was created as a special place for Moms Panel applicants who did not become panelists. It was a website with a community component. Moms could post tips and participate in polls. Anyway, it seems to have fizzled out. I think it was partially replaced with the Disney Parks InsidEARS Beta site, but the InsidEARS group is comprised of all sorts of folks, not just past Moms Panel candidates.

If you log into the MMC page now, it directs you to other Disney sites, like MomsPanel, runDisney, Disney Parks Blogs, etc.
