Hi everyone. I received word on our facebook page (Mickey Moms Club Super Page) that you had a wonderful conversation among Moms and Dads who had applied for the 2013 Panel. I wanted to throw my name in the hat. This is my 4th year trying. I tried to add my self onto the spreadsheet but not sure if I did it correctly. I'm David M., davidthe8thdwarf, applied for the DVC Dads slot, from Tennessee. Please check and see if I did it right. I had to go around the firewall settings on my company laptop so I hope I did it right. Hope to make it to round 2 this time. I'm not really worried about anything but the video part of the process. I sent my application in for WDW earlier today. My kids are cheering me on all the way. I had an "ah ha" moment last year about why I didn't make it past round one. I hope I'm on the right track this year. It feels a bit crazy to be applying considering how busy I am with my profession and family but every time I think about Disney I just feel joy. Who wouldn't want to add more joy to their life? Good luck all!

I too heard about this link on the FB page for Mickey Moms Club Super Group for all the panelist wannabe's It has been awhile since I have visited the DIS and it feels good to be back!! I have added my info to the great spreadsheet, thanks for that!

Holy smokes, y'all! I go away for a few days and this board has just completely blown up! I applied for WDW and am surprisingly calm about my entry, which is shocking because I'm one of the most impatient people I know. What I DO know is that my love of Disney is nearly impossible to sum up in 100 words or less. I did my best and that's all I can ask of myself. I recall getting my rejection email last year. It was a Saturday and it was pouring down rain here in Central Florida. My husband had just gone to Las Vegas for training for a new job that morning and was to be gone for a week and I was so bummed. So, my sister and I packed up our kids and went...wait for it...to the Magic Kingdom. In the rain. And enjoyed every moment of it. Because truly, Mom's Panel or not, Disney still holds so much magic for me and always will. I wish all of you the best of luck!!

Hey all! I've been a little absent these past couple weeks, but am back to join the waiting room with you all! I submitted my application for the Disneyland panelist and feel pretty good about my answers. At least, I didn't stress about them nearly as much as I have in past years!

I saw someone asked us to post the specialty questions from page 2 and since I haven't seen any other Disneylanders, here they are:

1. What are the five newest attractions at Disney California Adventure Park? (Options were Radiator Springs Racers, World of Color, Finding Nemo Submarines, Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, Little Mermaid, Luigi's Flying Tires, California Screamin', Red Car Trolley and Toy Story Mania)

2. My favorite hotel at the Disneyland Resort has a special feature. Select the feature below with the correct hotel where it's located. (This one had about 8 options with different hotel and things like restaurant names - so like "Napa Rose - Grand Californian". Some options were the correct pairing, some were not)

3. What is the name of the man who has made Carnation Cafe so special for decades? Hint: he has a dish on the menu named after him. (multiple choice)

4. Who helped open Disneyland Resort to the public as one of the official hosts? (Multiple choice)

5. What county does Disneyland Resort call home? (multiple choice)

6. In 100 words or less, describe the best multi-day vacation you've taken at the Disneyland Resort, including where you stayed overnight. If you haven't had a multi-day vacation to Disneyland Resort tell us what you would do if you were to plan one.

I answered it to be my personal favorite feature....but now I am wondering what does Disney consider a feature? AND are they talking about my personal favorite feature....or are they talking about the author who wrote the question...which I am guessing would be Laura Spencer????

I submitted my application today after trying last year for the first time. I made it to Round 2 last year but am trying to go in with no expectations this year. I added my info to the spreadsheet and will get busy following people on Twitter (I too joined last year because of this).
