Amanda's Menu Planning Spectacular!

Oh Beth I don't know if I would have the energy to be a party planner! LOL! It takes a lot of work and to be honest I am happy that I am done for awhile.

I am exhausted this Monday morning. I pushed myself way to hard this weekend and am paying the price today. But I really wanted to spend some time with friends and family so it could be worth it. This week is another crazy week of running around for wedding preperations. We have plans scheduled for next weekend as well but I can tell you that the weekend of Nover 12, 13, and 14th - I am making no plans what so ever!

I did some damage this weekend to my diet but hopefully it is no unpreparable (is that a word?).

Goals:
Food - under 55 carbs
Water - 8 glasses
Exercise - 2 mile walk/run
Drop off my car at the dealership
Finish cleaning kitchen

Plan:
B: eggs, ham, and cheese
L: ? I'm thinking I'll George Forman some Fish and make some veggies.
S: Slices of Cheese
D: Polish Sausage and a side dish
Exercise: Will be almost right after work or not far from it.

Hi Amanda:wave2:

You are doing a great job with your marathon training! Keep up the good work!

You have been so busy lately!:faint: The weekend of November 12-14 sounds like you will be on :cloud9: . That is definitely something to look forward to.::yes::

Have a great Tuesday!

Tracy:wave2:

:flower2: Happy Tuesday, Amanda!! :flower2:

I got my 2 miles in last evening - I hope you did too! Today is a rest day but I hope you've made time in your schedule for 2 miles tomorrow! We're on a roll, girlfriend!! :teeth: :hyper: :teeth:

Your weekend sounded great! Making those connections with family and friends is what helps keep our sanity - relationships are important.

I hope your week isn't too crazy busy. I used my lavendar scented hand cream this morning and thought of you encouraging me to do something for myself. Please find ways to take care of you, dear Amanda, even during the busy times of life.

Okay who wants to come over to my house and kill my scale? :duck: The stupid thing said 157 lbs this morning! How is that even possible! Even though I know I was off program a bit this weekend I still did all my exercise and was back on track somewhat yesterday. Oh well - live and learn I guess. Yesterday was not a perfect day and I was a lot more hungry then usual. I think this is due to getting ready to start my period. I always seem more tired and starving during this time.

Goals for today:
Food - 55 carbw
Water - 8 glasses
Exercise - 20 minutes of weights and abs

Plan for today:
B: 1/2 ham and cheese sandwich - 8 carbs
L: Big Salad w/3 cheese italian dressing - 5 carbs
D: DH will be having Hamburger helper and I will be eathing something else.

Can I vent a bit about my DH? So this weekend he makes a big deal about him doing the laundry since I had so much to do. He did the jeans, whites and darks. The Jeans got folded, the darks are still sitting in a big pile in the laundry basked unfolded, and the whites are in the dryer. Not to mention that the gentles (stuff I wear to work) never got done. I asked him last night to please fold the laundry and he said he would get to it later. This morning I am running around the house trying to find an outfit to wear to work and just thinking AUGH! It would be easier if I did it all my self. I swear sometimes it is like pulling teeth to get stuff done right!

My car is in the shop today becuase my battery keeps dying on me. They also reccomended a 30,000 mile check so that I would be in compliance with my warranty. I was all for it until they said the check would cost $386.00!!!!! I told the guy nevermind! Thankfully my brother is a mechanic and can do a transmission flush and coolant flush for me. Sheesh!

I'm going to try and have happy thoughts for the rest of the morning. I have to eat lunch at my desk so I will catch up on journals then.

~Amanda

I hope your car is all fixed and that your DH can manage to fold some more laundry for you. :p Household chores just seem to be neverending!

Hope you've figured out something yummy for dinner!

LET'S GO CARDINALS!!!!!

I really hope they beat the Sox tonight!!!

Don't worry about the scale - I bet your just starting to put on the pre TOM water weight. Don't forget to drink lots and lots of the H2O to combat that!!:drinking: :drinking:

I personally think DHs do that kind of thing just so we don't ask them to do it again!! It always seems easiest to do it ourselves, but don't let him get away with it!!:sad2:

Have a great evening Amanda!

I need a *head held down in shame* icon.:guilty: This might work. I did not do well yesterday at all. And I am going to post my menu even though I am embarrased by it.

B: 1/2 ham and cheese sandwich
S: half slice of pumpking pie
L: Salad with 3 cheese Italian Dressing and walnuts.
S: 2 Little Debbie Brownies at 46 carbs each
D: half of a 14' thin crust pizza and a cupcake.

The good news is that I did drink lots of water. I also didn't get my workout in.

I do however feel much stronger today then I did yesterday. My car is fixed, my cat sitting duties are over, and tonight it is just me and my DH. We are going to do our running after work today. And then relax for the rest of the evening.

Goals:
Carbs - 30 to 55
Exercise - 2 mile walk/run and weights
Water - 8 glasses

B: half ham and cheese sandwich (8 carbs)
L: Leftover Sausage and probably some cooked cauliflower.
D: Grilled Catfish and veggies. (DH is having hamburger helper)

Ok, you've hung your head, now let it go and move on. You're entitled to a rough day. . .and look at the bright side, you drank your water. That's a good thing!::yes:: You had a lot of stressors yesterday, but now it's a brand new Wednesday and you have a plan that sounds good. My favorite part: "we are going to do our running after work today. And then relax for the rest of the evening." Relaxing is definitely a positive!

You're going to make the most of today, I just know it! You can do it, princess: Amanda!

Love,
Erin

I second everything that Erin said! I just know you'll make the most of your day today! ::yes::

By the way, notice that I have NOT been listing all my food in my journal. If there was a shame-faced icon, it would look like me. :jester:

Today is a new day and we can do this, princess: Amanda! If DH isn't too embarassed, wear that princess: hat for your workout tonight and know that I'll be walking with mine on too! princess: princess:

Hello princess: Amanda,

You have made a brillant recovery. You are OP and exercising today. It is getting back Op that will make this time count.

Enjoy your evening with DH.
Beth

      :grouphug: around Amanda, everyone. I'm so sorry about those Cardinals, princess: Amanda.
Take today in stride and wear black--it'll let others know you're in mourning.

Sniff,
Erin

Sorry about the Cards, Amanda, :( but it is so cool that they made it into the Series! They've given you lots to cheer about this season, for sure. ::yes::

Try to take it easy on yourself today, OK?

EDIT: 9:15
Almost forgot to ask if you got those 2 miles in yesterday. DH & I walked 3.25 miles last evening. I think we're supposed to walk another 2 miles tonight but I have to check the training schedule.

That is why I love the Wish boards! Thanks everyone for your heart felt post on the Cardinals. I don't think I've ever been so mad at a sports team before - and this is the home of the RAMS! I really think the players owe the fans an apology for their sad and pitiful performance. I don't even think they bothered to show up to the games this week.

Well yesterday was better - not perfect but better. Here is a recap:
B: 1/2 ham and cheese sandwich
S: Mini Crunch Bar
L: Grilled Cheese Sandwich on WW bread.
S: Carmel Frappacino
D: Pizza Toppings
Exercise: Ran 1.25 miles and walked .75 miles with my princess: hat on.
Water - 8 glasses

Tonight I have a dinner rehersal to go to so we are going to rest today and run tomorrow. I really don't have a plan today - I am just going to make good decisions. My TOM finally arrived and I have cramps like you wouldn't believe.

~Amanda

Good morning Amanda,

Sorry about the Cards:( What a great season they had though.::yes::

I hope that you start feeling better through the day. Do you have some Midol you can take?

Sending  your way today, Amanda. Take good care of you!

Tracy:wave2:

Hi amanda,

My condolances for the series. I live in the Detroit area, we suffer from the Lions and Tigers. This year we don't even have the Red Wings to cheer for.

I hope you are feeling better. TOM stinks. Keep drinking your water . I hope you have fun tonight at the rehearsal. I've lost track. Is this the last wedding for the year?

Take care,
beth

Oh Beth! Did you have to mention the Red Wings? I liked you so much until now!

I did pretty good last night. The food was mostaccoli (which for those who are not from St. Louis is a Rigatoni with meat sauce), Salad, and Garlic Bread. For dessert there was 7 different pies or cheesecakes to choose from.

Today is another day of just getting by. I'm going to try and make the best decisions possible.

I do have a 2 mile walk to look forward to this evening.:p

~Amanda

Hi, Amanda. How are you feeling, honey? I hate TOM, as you might remember.:p Take some ibuprofen and drink that water and if no one is looking at you, lay your head down on your desk for a few minutes.::yes:: This too shall pass.

Have a good weekend, you Jock Athlete princess: ,
Erin

:Pinkbounc THIS IS MY LAST WEDDING!!!! :bounce:

I am so excited that the last wedding for the year is almost here. I just got back from my hair appointment, my make-up is done, and I'm getting ready to head out the door. THANK GOODNESS!

~Amanda

Ah Mental Health Days! And man I needed one today ::yes:: This weekend was just crazy - nothing got done around my house and I just needed some time to myself. So I called in sick. Of course I'll be kicking myself tomorrow - but I just don't care at the moment. I'll handle the issues tomorrow.

The wedding was beautiful! And once I get some pictures I'll be sure to scan them in so everyone can see. It was a very fun wedding and very relaxed. They put there on personal touches into the wedding - which I just love. For instance after the ceremony instead of walking back down the aisle to a Church song they choose to walk down to the Peanuts theme song. It was perfect for them! They also had a huge ice scuplture of Snoopy at their reception. The music at the reception was all funky 70's tunes so it was just a lot of fun.

Today I am giving myself the day off from thinking about food. I'll try to make healthy choices but I am not going to get back into the full swing until tomorrow.

Exercise - I ran 1.25 miles and walked 2.75 miles on Sunday and man my legs were killing me! They are still very sore today so I think I am going to take some time to really stretch this afternoon. Tonight we will do 2 miles if we don't have any thunderstorms which is being forcasted at the moment.
