Did you drink your water yesterday? I like your idea of picking just one goal to concentrate on when things are feeling crazy and you're not in the groove. What's your one goal today?

I did manage to hit my water goal and that made me feel much better. My food was so off yesterday! It is just not a good idea to come home starving at 7:30. My poor dh went out to dinner w/friends and I asked him to bring home a garden or chef salad. Well he brought home the house salad, which this resturant thinks should only have lettuice (iceberg and romaine) and crutons. NO Cheese! No protein at all! So I ate about 3/4 of the salad and then ordered a pizza and chicken wings which took over an hour to get there so I started on the Ben and Jerry's ice cream. It was a rough evening.

I am paying the price since I am up a pound from last week. :rolleyes1 But it also giving me some resolve to pick myself up.

Plan for today:
Food: 35 carbs
b: 2 halves of deviled Eggs, diet pepsi = 2 carbs
l: Tuna Salad = 3 carbs
d: ???
Water: 8 glasses
Vitamins: Taken :)
Exercise: Curves after work, gym bag in car.

We are going out tonight with friends where I plan on drinking Diet Coke and rum. This is good for 2 reasons, 1) low carbs, and 2) I don't really like it so I tend to drink more slowly.

My goal today is to make it to Curves and drink my water.

Have fun going out tonight! If you don't like rum and coke, maybe try a whiskey and soda...that's one of my favorite summer drinks, and it should be about the same calories, and more refreshing.

Happy Monday everyone! I had a pretty good weekend with lots of activities of course ;) I did manage to stick to my plan of Rum and Diet Cokes on Friday night, and then Saturday I offered to be D.D. and drank diet cokes and water all night. Sunday was my friend's baby shower, she looks so cute! I had a great time and got home early enough that Brian and I were able to relax around the house for the evening.

I have to commend my husband. He has been so awesome the last month while I've been working 2 jobs. Yesterday he scrubbed the kitchen and living room and did all the laundry. He is certainly making my life easier.

I was off plan all weekend with little to no exercise. I am feeling the need to get back on plan today. I want to be out of the 160's by the end of the month!

Plan today:
Water: 8 to 10 glasses - no slacking on this one!
Vitamins: W/Breakfast
Exercise: Curves after work.
Food: 35 carbs or less - and I am counting today!
b: eggs and bacon, diet coke - 5 carbs max.
l: tuna salad
s: ?
d: Honey Mustard Pork Tenderloin (in the crockpot now), veggies.
s: ?

I have a meeting at 7pm for work so I"ll get to run home and eat dinner, freshen up, and then back out the door. I'm looking forward to actually eating dinner with my husband ;)

l - 3 eggs scrambled with 3 slices of bacon and 2 slices of cheese = 6 carbs

Packed my exercise bag and threw it in the car so that I can stop by Curves on my way home.

You asked about my training for the half and I thought "what training?". Is that a bad sign?? :p Guess I'd better start soon, huh? :crazy:

Dinner in the crockpot sounds heavenly! :cloud9: Good for you for making it happen! And I knew before that Brian was a keeper, but he CLEANS too!! Hang onto him, dear Amanda! ::yes:: I think it is awesome that he's so supportive of you. Nothing says love like a clean kitchen and bathroom!

Don't forget about that extra-energy :wizard: I sent. Use it liberally throughout the day, princess: Amanda!

You're an amazing woman, Amanda, handling all this extra work and sounding OK with it. And Brian? Well, like Doreen said, he's a "keeper." There's nothing quite compared to feeling like you and your husband are truly a team.

Doe thanks for the extra :sunny: but we REALLY need the rain :umbrella: . My lawn this morning is extremely happy and if I can keep from running the sprinkler system everyday that makes me very happy! The weather has cooled down a lot so the air conditioning is getting a much needed break as well - so as we say "It's all good!" :)

Today was a :) :) :) for vitamins, water, and exercise. I was doing great food wise but DH ran to Walgreens while I was in a meeting and bought me some chocolate ice cream. He was so proud of himself that I allowed myself about half a cup. I have now hidden the container WAY back in the freezer ;)

Plan for today:
Vitamins: with breakfast
Water: 8 to 10 glasses
Exercise: Curve after work
Food: 35 carbs or less
b: eggs, bacon, not to exceed 5 carbs
l: Leftover Pork tenderloin, broccoli w/cheese or Greenbeans = 10 carbs
d: Marinated Chicken Breast, veggies
s: sugar free jello perhaps.

I checked the scale today and it said 164.5 so I'm almost down the pound I gained. If I can lose another pound this week I'll be making up for some lost time. My schedule this week is a bit crazy. But I am determined to get to Curves 3 times and to take a VERY long walk this weekend.

Gosh it's hard to believe that you and Doreen will be walking another half marathon in a couple of months. By then it'll be perfect weather for a hike together! It's good to plan a long walk for the weekend, you Jock Athlete princess: .

I earned :) :) :) for vitamins, water, and exercise. I missed the food one because I got snacky last night. I must be pre-menstrual because I went from crying about not going to WDW this year, to be mad at myself for being so stupid. LOL! My poor dh doesn't know what to do! I've been on birth control for 10 years, this is my 2nd month without them and I think I am starting to detox or something ;)

Plan for today:
Water: 8 glasses!
Vitamins: w/breakfast
Exercise: Rest day :)
Food: 55 carbs or less (giving myself a bit of an increase)
b: half bagel with cream cheese - 18 carbs
l: Leftover pork tenderloin w/greenbeans - 10 carbs
d: Low carb subway wrap - 10 carbs

I'm going to the grocery store tonight after my 2 jobs ;) and I need to run by the library.

I came to realize yesterday that equate food with relaxing. Because I had dinner, a subway wrap at work. But then when I got home at 8pm I couldn't relax until I had something to eat. This is something to think about for awhile.

I have a LOOOOONG day ahead of me. 8 hour work day and then 3 hours of training tonight. DH and I are going to meet at a resturant for dinner between work and training.

Goals:

Exercise: Rest day :)
Food: 35 carbs or less
b: 3 slices of bacon and a cheese stick: 2 carbs
l: not sure. Might just be turkey and cheese roll-ups

We have so many different reasons and motivations for eating, don't we??? It can get downright confusing when I try to figure out WHY I'm eating. :teeth: I do know that when I'm really busy and stressed, I turn to food a lot more often than when I'm relaxed and calm and unhurried. I hope you get some of those restful and calm days soon, sweetie! :hug:
 
Ya know, somedays you just have an instinct to stay in bed and hide under the covers. I should have trusted that this morning. My first few hours have not been fun, and I'm really in a bad place at the moment emotionally.

Not sure if I'll be able to make it through the day without some comfort food.
