if she really said what she did in the police station to her italian roommate right after the murder....she is guilty.

Were her other room mates ever questioned, as suspects? I mean isn't it very possible the room mate lied and is possible the guilty one?

Watching it now.......I would hope this movie doesn't make the Italian officials hold more against the family.
IMO the movie is really bad timing.

The family was not happy, neither is her attorney. They wanted them to not show it yet. The response from the network, was it isn't being shown in Italy. With the internet today, it will be very easy for it to be shown over there. I think it is in poor taste to do it now.

I actually though actress Hayden Panettiere played Amanda to T - great presentation of the bratty attitude and self-absorbed worldview of an inherently dislikeable person.

Yes, I can't understand anyone who likes Ms. Konx - but haven't come to any final conclusion about her actual guilt or innocence (leaning guilty but with some doubts).

I have, however, concluded most Americans really need to get up the learning curve about the Italian justice system and the context of this case before rushing to judgment. Too many people are making their calls based on an armchair, North American "law and order' mindset.

Yes Amanda's finger prints were found on a knife, but no blood was found on the knife and as far as I know it was never proven to be the murder weapon.

I just watched it and I honestly have no clue. The only thing that made me suspicious of Amanda is that her roommate told police that Meridith died a horrible death because her throat was slit. From what I gathered from the movie, no one but police should have known at that time that her throat was slit. And then there were the phone records indicating that 112 was called only after the police arrived, and also that Amanda called her mom at 3am Seattle time the night of the murder.

And I don't know if it's true or not, they never go into in the movie, but they seemed to trick her into believing she had HIV in order to get the list of the men she had slept with. I don't know if that would fly in this country.

And I don't buy the motive that she killed Meredith because they fought about her cleaning habits.

Makes me thankful that we have the justice system we do. I know it's flawed, but for the most part, it's fair.

According to the movie, her DNA was mixed in with Meridith's blood. It seems though that it would be impossible to differentiate old DNA from Amanda with new blood from Meridith. I mean, if I'm killed in my bed and my blood is all over the sheets, wouldn't my husband's DNA be there too, just because he sleeps in the same bed? Is there a way to separate his old DNA from my blood? I wouldn't think so.

I have no clue at all if she is guilty or innocent. As far as her behavior after Meridith's death, people respond differently while grieving. I admit cartwheels are not a normal reaction, but who am I to judge? I just hope her parents don't end up in prison for libel.

That's what I was thinking...it would be all over. The link I posted had some interesting information about some things that were shown as true in the movie but were not.

At first I thought she was guilty now I lean toward innocent. Heck, I thought OJ was innocent when I first heard about those killings. You just never know.

According to an ABC article on the movie neither of these are factual.

1. Amanda said she suffered because she bleed to death. Nothing about her throat being slit.

2. Other roommates say that Meredith never confronted Amanada about her messiness.

I wouldn't allow a movie to influence my opinion on this trial one way or the other. This movie is fiction. Fiction based on a real event but fiction none the less. Even a documentary that aims for neutrality will inevitably skew to the view of the writer or director.

In reality I couldn't care less if Foxy Knoxy did it or didn't. If she did let her rot, if she didn't hopefully the case gets overturned. I'll let the Italian courts handle it and contrary to so many other Americans I don't dislike their system just because it is different than ours. Their country, their courts, their rules. That is fine by me.

I found it interesting the movie and the story that followed didn't seem to lean one way or the other. I don't know what to think.

I'm kind of stuck on the fact that Meredith was covered with the blanket, and apparently, that is a female trait? Fascinating stuff.

I don't know why she lied about the bartender and then she never did take that back until the trial. there's lots of unanswered questions.

Are the photo's you posted suppose to be of her inherent dislikability? They look like a million other photos of young adults having a good time. I see nothing, in these photos that points to her being unlikeable or a cold blooded killer.

Just playing devil's advocate here, but if you go to Google Images and pull up pics of Amanda Knox, there are quite a few photo's where she is kind of smiling while being escorted by the police. And it's not just one incident. There are a few different instances where she seems a little too carefree to be escorted by police.

I have seen those photos too. And yes it is kinda odd. But maybe the smiles are because she saw her parents or as a "defense mechanism" kind of like a laugh so you don't cry?

But the photos that CandyMandy has posted just look like a million other photos on Facebook of young adults letting loose/having a good time.

I don't know her enough to form an opinion of her "likeability" one way or another, but what exactly are these photos supposed to illustrate? they look like nearly every one of both of my sisters facebook pics, as well as my cousin's, all my female friends/acquaintances etc. heck, I even have a photo of my holding a bazooka somewhere.
