Amanda & Eric 03/03/10- WP/WHP/Sago Cay Centerpiece Ideas!

I love the blue and green! Can't wait to hear more plans.
Thank you!!

OHHH! That makes much more sense. Lol!

Lol :lmao: That headband is just...well it looks cute on here but not for me!!

That necklace is beautiful, it will give the dress a little more glitz on top. You'll know if it's right when you try the dress on again, I had a necklace picked out and I tried it on with my dress and I hated it.

Yea I think when everything comes in (including Laurens dress) we will play dress up and take pictures!!

Ugh! I posted but it didn't go through!!!

I love the necklace. It looks very similar to the earrings I had found and I like that design. I think it would fit perfectly with the deep neckline of the dress, with the drop charm. I don't remember the halter part of the dress being that complicated when I tried it on, so I don't think it should get caught.

PS I hate bracelets too!! I have the tiniest wrists and they always bounce around. I'm looking into a nice watch because I don't want my bare tiny wrists and I'm also neurotic about knowing the time.

I don't think it will be an issue either but I am getting excited to try everything on.

I have tiny wrists too!! Bracelets are always huge on me and I always have to take a ton of links out of watches!!

I love your over-all look! I think its going to be beautiful! Just make sure you do a trial run with the necklace and dress like Jazzy said. I dont think it'll be a problem but you never know.
Thank you!! Can't wait until we do the trial run!!

I always love all your ideas Mandy! The invitation mock up that Lauren made is gorgeous and I think the necklace is just stunning:goodvibes

Aww thank you:hug: I can't wait to see if the necklace is as pretty in person!

I would be afraid of a bracelet snagging the dress too...

and I am relieved you aren't doing the headband/fascinator/veil...I didn't want to be a downer but that seemed like too much stuff and not enough head!

Are you still doing dark blue shoes with the light blue flowers or are you going to match the flowers? Can you see the shoes with the dress? My friend dyed her shoes pink, and she was upset because no one could see them ...she felt like her special little twist fell flat because as she said "no one know I have special shoes on!!!" haha

Lol I guess I didn't clear that up. I just liked her hair...that headband was way too much for me!!

Not sure about the color for the shoes yet...thinking maybe using the same color as the ribbon. I still have to decide. You probably won't see them too much but I think that's what I like about it. It's fun little suprise if I move my dress in the right way. Plus I will definitely have Randy take pics of them!!!

Am I the only one here with a dirty mind when I read a specific sentence of the post above? LOL!

yes..you have a dirty mind...It was suppose to be funny haha not funny ewwww

I forgot to post that our invitations arrived yesterday!!! They are beautiful and I can't wait to start putting them together!! Of course I still need to work out the wording on the actual invitation and inserts first...:rotfl:

We also went ring shopping last night. We went to a local jewelery that I wouldn't normally go to ( a little bit overpriced) but our family has been going there for years PLUS my e-ring and wedding band from my previous marriage had been purchased there and had my grandmothers diamond in it. I was hoping to get the diamond removed (to be put in a necklace later) and get a credit for the gold.

Our saleswoman was nice enough to start. She actually found me quite a few rings that fit well with my e-ring without going custom. The ring we finally decided on was similar to one I posted earlier; a very fine row of pave diamonds that don't go all the way around. She took everything to price it out and clean my ring, but while we were waiting something wierd happened.

I turned around just in time to see the OWNER talking to another saleswoman and pointing at me. I then heard, very distinctly, TWO wedding rings. I was nto very happy to hear that they were talking about me while I was standing right there. Our saleswoman came back and gave us the price on our ring (over $500) and the credit for the old rings ($58).

We definitely weren't ready to buy yet but when I told her she turned the cold shoulder on us...couldn't wait for us to get out.

That store left a really bad taste in my mouth and we definitely won't be returning. It is nice to know that the pave style band works well with my ring thought:goodvibes

Yea for your invitations being in! That's exciting.

I'm sorry about your experience with the jeweler, that's definitely not a way to get or keep business for that matter. If you ever want the name of a great jeweler, well you'd have to come to AZ for it, but he is awesome. He will make you anything you want, I loved this one A. Jaffe ring design, but not the $5000 price tag (and that was w/o the center stone :scared1:). So he said, let's make it custom and it cost us $1500. His opinion is that there should never be a "but" in your jewelry, if you like it, but, "I will take the but out" That sounds really wrong, but you get the point

I hope you find a better jeweler that is willing to treat you right.

Aw thanks for your story! You made me laugh but I know exactly what you mean. We weren't being cheap but I really want to get what I am paying for! Plus I didn't care for being treated like that.

We are still on the hunt for a good jeweler!

I would suggest next time you are going to just look at rings and not planning on buying, you should tell them that right away. They typically work on commission so that way they won't get their hopes up for making a sale. If you tell them, "we're just going to be looking today" and the salesperson is mean after you say that, then leave. A good salesperson will say "okay" and help you in hopes of getting a future sale.

Are you sure they were saying something bad about two rings? Maybe he was just pointing out that you had two wedding rings but wasn't saying anything bad. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt unless I actually hear something bad. I really don't think people getting remarried is that uncommon so I wouldn't worry about it.

Hey Mandy, sorry you had a bad shop experience.

My samples from Cards and Pocekts came today, they are really great. :)

Can't wait to see yours all put together!!

that really does stink! im sorry you had to go through that. Dont people realize that they get business by word of mouth? i hope things work out better for you next time!

Yay for invites! I can't wait to see mock ups!

Sorry about the woman in the store, but since you didn't hear the exact conversation, you don't know what was said so I wouldn't take it too personally.

Hooray for invitations!! They're going to be so pretty! I'm excited to see the finished product! :goodvibes

Don't let the stupid saleslady ruin anything for ya, Mandy! I've noticed there unfortunately seems to be a lot of bitter people working within the wedding business. :sad2: The good news is that you got to see what you do like with your e-ring!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience at the jeweler. Will they give you that credit back in cash since you definitely won't plan to buy there after that experience.

I can't wait to see the invites!

Hey girls :) Thanks for all your comments about the jeweler. There are a few other places we are going to look but I did find a few online too.

I am really excited to start working with the invitations...they looks so pretty in their box!!

I also just returned my shoes today. I found another company that sells the same shoes but will dye them for me before sending the. Since I already tried them on I know what size will work and the return was free!

Not much else going on. Trying to work on our newsletters and ceremony this week but I think I have a sinus infection...heading to the doctor right after work...just need to make it through 2 more hours!!
