Amanda & Eric 03/03/10- WP/WHP/Sago Cay Centerpiece Ideas!

I think you may want to do a trial with your necklace and your dress:rotfl: Sometimes wearing a necklace with a halter can be extremely irritating because the necklace gets caught in the halter. You don't want to have that annoyance on your wedding day. Just a thought I had:goodvibes

I agree with Jazzy. And sometimes necklaces end up looking odd with halter dresses.

What is Esty?

I like that dress, is it a champagne color?

I actually think the necklace would look nice with that dress and it doesn't look like it would be a problem with the halter. The flowers are pretty too. I'm glad you made a decision on the green/blue color scheme.

Do you have a theme for your wedding? Like Old Hollywood Glamour? or Roaring Twenties?

I know that the feathers in wedding were pretty popular a couple of years back and I remember seeing them in those themed weddings.

I like the necklace!

Did your headpiece arrive yet? If so, have you tried it with the veil? In the pictures, it looks like it could be a bit much. However, things looks different when just on paper, so I could be wrong.

I think the necklace is very pretty and matches the shoes and hair piece very well. I think that it could work with the halter as long as it isn't uncomfortable. If you think it will be fine I say go for the necklace...it really is pretty:lovestruc

Thanks but I don't think it will be a problem. I just can't picture the whole outfit with practically no earrings no necklace or anything.

Etsy is an amazing site where people sell things they have made. I have already purchased a few things from the site.

I would be too nervous that it would snag on the dress, plus bracelets drive me crazy. I always like them but if I wear one, I end takling it off. It is pretty though!

The dress is actually ivory. I don't have a great picture of it yet. No theme for the wedding, that vintage look is just one I like.

It hasn't arrived yet (long story). I think it's going to work well. My veil is very simple, one tier and will sit toward the back of my head. Plus I am only wearing the veil for pics and the ceremony, then I will just have the headpiece.

That is a beautiful necklace. It kind of has an antique feel to it. :goodvibes

Thanks! That's why I love it. The dress is so simple at the top I think it will work. My mom has another necklace that I want to try on with it too (would be my something borrowed).

If you haven't seen my post on the main board, we have decided to incorporate a love letter piece to the ceremony. It's an adaptation to the wine box and love letter ceremony. We are each going to write a letter to the other. During the ceremony the letters will be placed in the box. On our first anniversary we will open the box and read the letters. We are then going to put those letters in a scrap book and right 2 new letters to go in the box :cloud9:

I found an etsy seller that is great. Here is what the box will look like:

And this is the paper I picked:

I still need to work on the wording for that portion of the ceremony and where we will fit it. We didn't want to do a Unity candle or sand ceremony so this is our alternative!

Oh and I found a great Big Band version of AC/DC's back in black to use as the Father/Daughter dance :lmao: My dad is going to be so excited!

Oh wow, I love that. I'm not too keen on the unity candle or sand ceremony and always wondered what other options there are (I only know of one other, hand fasting, which my bff did at her wedding.) This sounds SO romantic and sweet, and quite unique. Do you continue to do it on every anniversary? I'm curious about the wording. I bet you guys will be tons of "awws" :goodvibes

I hope you don't mind, but I'm totally taking notes for my future wedding. :rotfl:

I had never heard of Etsy when I was planning and I wish I did. They seem to have really cute stuff on there. I am now thinking of designing wedding bouquets and flowers and selling them on Etsy. I might as well put my floral design experience to use. :thumbsup2

I'm confused. Are you doing the headpiece thing in front, feather piece in back, and veil in back? How long is the veil?

Lol no go ahead!! Once I finish tweaking this bit of the ceremony I will post it!

Oh that would be awesome!!

I think you are referring to that headband thing?? No...I posted a while back that I like the hairstyle but hated that headband thing. The feather hair piece I will wear, probably off to the side. The veil is a single tier cathedral length.

I love the blue and green! Can't wait to hear more plans.

OHHH! That makes much more sense. Lol!

That necklace is beautiful, it will give the dress a little more glitz on top. You'll know if it's right when you try the dress on again, I had a necklace picked out and I tried it on with my dress and I hated it.

Ugh! I posted but it didn't go through!!!

I love the necklace. It looks very similar to the earrings I had found and I like that design. I think it would fit perfectly with the deep neckline of the dress, with the drop charm. I don't remember the halter part of the dress being that complicated when I tried it on, so I don't think it should get caught.

PS I hate bracelets too!! I have the tiniest wrists and they always bounce around. I'm looking into a nice watch because I don't want my bare tiny wrists and I'm also neurotic about knowing the time.

I love your over-all look! I think its going to be beautiful! Just make sure you do a trial run with the necklace and dress like Jazzy said. I dont think it'll be a problem but you never know.

I always love all your ideas Mandy! The invitation mock up that Lauren made is gorgeous and I think the necklace is just stunning:goodvibes
