I have been a long time lurker and poster. I figured it is now time to start my own PJ since we are already under a year till our wedding.
Please be patient with me, it will take me a little while to get used to posting and how to do things
About Us
Me (Amanda)
I am a special education teacher at a school for special needs children. I also own my own UnFranchise Business.
In 2006 Rob and I moved to FL from NY. I started working at WDW (supposed to be only temporary until I could find a different job) and stayed there until 2007 when we moved back to NY. I worked at the WIlderness Lodge in the Mercantile and also worked for Arribas Bros. (the glass and crystal shops around WDW) in Cinderella's Castle. My first visit to WDW in 1996 there was a wedding taking place in the Magic Kingdom and I got the idea that I wanted to get married at WDW. My idea was confirmed when I worked a couple a weeks at the Grand Floridian and saw many brides going through for photos and riding in the coach over to the Wedding Pavilion. I knew then that I had to get married there. So here we are planning our WDW wedding
Rob
Rob works for a modular homes company building and installing countertops and cabinets. (He pretty much does everything and anything they want him too). When we lived in FL he owned is own flooring company (mostly doing tile work).
Before we even started dating he had the idea of getting married at WDW. So I guess we were a perfect fit
at least we didn't have a hard time picking a wedding location
How We Met
We are not high school sweet hearts
Rob is 5 years older than me. We were both part of a Drum and Bugle Corp. for our fire department. We hung out as friends for a while and then we somehow started dating. We don't know exactly when things turned from friendship to relationship
so we estimated and came up with a date of July 25, 2000. Yes, we have been together for almost 11 years now, it will be almost 12 when we get married.
Wedding Details
Ceremony: Wedding Pavilion at 2:30pm
Reception: Living Seas EPCOT
Desert Party: UK Lochside
Colors: Clover and Tangerine (some chocolate)
