My little girl has been spending lots of nights this summer with one girlfriend or another. I miss having her around. :(

She did have them over this last weekend, but it's not the same as just me and her.

You are not weird. I think it is sweet. Time off now and then is great..but it is nice to have them back too.

You seem pretty normal to me but then who am I to judge? I think Cotton Candy would make a great cast for a broken arm and I talk to dead people while washing marbles in a golf ball cleaner.

Hmmmm...I'm weird, too! My ds is in PA visiting with relatives and won't be home until July5. I really, really miss my buddy.:( (Although the house sure is cleaner!) Hope things get a little cheerier for you, Serena!

Awww! Sweet!
We do miss em don't we!?

You're not weird, I'm going through the same thing. Seems the girlfriends are a ton more interesting than me lately.

You are totally not weird! There are many times when I wish my kids would go spend time with friends! LOL But then when they aren't here, things seem weird, and I miss them! ;)

I'll send my 2 boys your way that way you wont be alone and then I let you know when I start to feel lonely and if your weird or not :)

Yes. I know the feeling. My DD is 15 and her friends are so important to her now. The moments she spends with me are few and far between - and cherished when they happen.

Well I have an 18 DS you can borrow, hes always around, but I do miss my 15DS now that hes off with everyone and never around us much. Hes always flitting someplace. What a life

Not weird. I now the feeling. DD (college age) did not come home this summer. Working in Mpls. I miss her. My son moving to Mich end of summer. That's going to tough.

This is a good thing tho. You want independence for them. It's the kids who are more dependent on family that have a generally tougher time with life's adjustments.

HollyJoy, you wait till your girls reach their teenage years! Boys will be flocking around! They are so pretty.

herc.

You're not wierd at all. For years, I've always said I wished I had more time to myself. Now that DD is old enough to stay on her own, I go shopping by myself and find that I miss having her with me! Since it is just the two of us, I don't know how I'm going to cope when she eventually leaves home. Do you think it would be odd for her mother to follow her to college?

I hate Mondays…I play with my two sons all weekend long….then it is back to work.

Sometimes when my DD10 is off to visit a friend, I start off looking forward to the time alone with DH....but partway through... I definately miss her! She is wacky and funny and fun to be around...
I understand! :)
