Am I wasting my time??

We have reservations for 5 nights at CBR on 12/11-16 and I made these several months ago using the AP rate. Of course, now my family wants me to see if we can stay at the Wilderness Lodge instead. I have been calling for the last 4 days and so far nothing available with the AP rate. (Due to our budget, I can't afford the rack rate.) Am I wasting my time hoping for a cancellation?? I guess I'll keep trying...do you think calling everyday is too compulsive?? Thanks to everyone for help in planning this long awaited trip...

If you have the time and patience I think a couple times a day wouldn't hurt. I don't know about AP discounts becoming available because of cancelations but you can ask about other discounts as well. keep an I on Mousesaves and the info boards. You never know what might come up.
 
I also read on another thread about a code "AMC" and that they have been getting really good rates using that code. I would just try and see you never know...let us know what happens:)
 
Calling every day might possibly be compulsive, but it worked for me on Columbus Day weekend. I was dying for Yacht or Beach Club reservations at a discount & finally got them after calling every day obsessively for nearly a month. Good luck!
 

You wouldn't be wasting your time if you got the great rate. If you don't keep calling, you'll never know. 877-939-3732 is a toll free number, in case you don't have it.
 
I don't think you are wasting your time. I would call every day, at least once a day. You never know when someone might have to cancel...
