I am leaving November 19th for Thanksgiving week to WDW. - Staying
off site near SeaWorld (free at friends condo!!) is it too late to order
MYW tickets and Universal Flex tickets? plan on doing 4 days at WDW and
3 at universal and or SeaWorld? Also restaurant reservs-- should i just
wing it now that I am less than 60 days -- DH definitely NOT a planner,
but loves his fine dining at WDW. with 1 11 year old, Want to
try and see a lot, so i am doing research, but cannot be tied down to a
commando schedule with DH.

Also since we will be driving to theme parks, can we use the Dis transportation system for park-hopping?

Thanks for any and all advice from all you Disney experts. Last time
(6 years ago) saw alot with a big group, but off peak in Sept. This time
we are expecting bigger crowds at Thanksgving, but hopefully will get
around easier and quicker with only 3. Will the crowds be as bad as we
expect?

Welcome to the DIS!!! You will get lots of helpful info here. I don't think it is too late to start planning, it's never too late, LOL. You will be able to use Disney transportation, just make sure you allow enough time to get back to your car in case the theme park parking lot you parked it in closes earlier than the park you hopped to. (Did that make any sense?) :sunny:

Yes you can use the Disney transportation to go from park to park. You may want to park at the park you will be leaving from, or the park that is open latest.

We have been Thanksgiving week, and the crowds build as the week goes by, with day after Thanksgiving being very busy. Not as crazy as Easter or Christmas though. Try to get to the parks early and ride all the "big" rides first, then you can sit back and enjoy the rest!

Have a great time!

I can only advise on WDW. With the crowds and lateness in reservations, my bet would be to do one park a day while at WDW. Pick your park and then get your dining ressies ASAP in that park. You may only be able to get them at off hours but that's ok. I wouldn't try to wing it while at the parks. Being tired and hungry is a bad combination if you can't get in. My picks: while at MK, monorail over to the Poly for Ohana; lunch at the park counter service. AK, Rainforest Cafe near the entrance; lunch at Flame Tree. EPCOT, Biergarten to cover both lunch/dinner. and MGM, Mama Melrose's for sit down. Yes, you can park your vehicle and use disney transportation the rest of the way, but park hopping isn't all it's cracked up to be with the size of the crowds you will encounter. Staying at one park will allow you to see the special events and not feel so rushed because you "have" to be at another park. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Thanks for your replies.
We won't be winging it once we get in the parks, but not sure which day going where yet, so I am reluctant to make dinner res. Probably will be having late lunch (2-3) in parks, so will be eating dinner 8ish anyways. Is it a big mistake to just try and get res. on each day for 3 people ? Also, should i order the discount tickets on this site - have about 4 weeks left togo, want to get them in time.

I glad I found this site! lots of good info for an inexperienced WDWer like me !

If you have a Disney Store near your home, you can get your WDW tickets there and get the same discount as online. That way you would have your tickets inhand when you left home and not have to worry.

Thanks - I didn't think of the Disney store -- great idea

With your Universal Tickets, you can just buy your tickets now and then pick them up when you get there at the ticket machines. Just make sure you bring the credit card you bought them on-line with to pick them up! You are not too late to make ADRs. I know the Fantamic Packages always open up more times closer to the dates.
