Am I the only one who IS NOT concerned with the busses?

I just don't like all that time wasted, sitting around for buses. I wanted to ride the new AK rollercoaster, so I took a bus over one morning. Getting over there wasn't bad, maybe 45 minutes from OKW, but getting back again took almost an hour and 15 minutes! I could have driven in 15, including the parking lot walk.

And then there's trying to dine out at another resort. Why would I want to waste two hours EACH WAY just to have dinner, when it's a 10 minute drive. My time is too valuable.

Resort to resort bus transportation is poor. Many of the better resort restaurants are located near a theme park. I suspect you can take a bus to the MK and then take the monorail to a monorail resort in less than 2 hours but I agree a car is a lot more convenient.

Buses to/from the theme parks run every 20-30 minutes (or less) even during the non-peak periods. It shouldn't take 75 minutes but I'll agree you can frequently make better time with a rental car.

I love the buses. Not having to deal with parking lots or directions, and also not having to deal with a car as hot as a blow torch during the summer when you first get in. Before I actually got up the courage to try the buses myself I thought those who did use them were crazy. My mom and I were going to first use them back in 2003, but we wimped out and rented a car when we got to the airport. Last January we took the plunge and are never going back

nothing prevents one from having a car and driving if they wish.

I have never had a problem with the bus system at WDW, mostly because i have actually researched how long it takes to get from place to place and plan accordingly.

I hope they aren't anything like the "bad" reviews I've read. We will be using them.. I'm on vacation. I got no other place to be.. If I gotta stand 20 min to get a free ride some place so be it.. Relax... its supposed to be a happy carefree time right? If its for free its for me! Espically because I HATE driving in major cities I live in a town of 2500ppl.... anything over that scares the CRAP out of me!!

We don't worry about the buses ever. We have driven to WDW a few times and never moved the car once it was parked.

If the bus is full and we don't want to stand, we wait for the next one. If they are running slow? Oh well!!!

I swear sometimes we must be the most laid back bunch at WDW. I cannot remember rushing anywhere in all the times I have gone.

Gee, another person like myself. I love the Disney Transportation System, to me its part of the vacation. I ride around on it just for fun. I never rush around while I am there. I love it there, I take in everything that I can.
