I'm listening to a rerun of The View and there is this lovely young woman named Aprille Levigne (spelling?) singing

Her hair is hanging in her face and it's driving me crazy! How can these performers stand having their hair in their face? I keep trying to sweep my own hair away from my face and it isn't helping

I want to jump inside the TV and put some barettes or a headband on Jennifer Anniston everytime I see her on Friends.

No matter what haircut she gets, she always has her hair hanging in her eyes. Makes me insane to look at.

me too. I can't stand it in MY eyes, no less someone elses!

Hi, the Nuns always made us keep our hair out of our eyes..
Hec Sr. Mary LC used to pin the boys hair out of their eyes with bobby pins or barretts.. No kidding.. needless to say most of the boys kept their hair out of their eyes BEFORE that nun passed by them...

In some cases, hair covering the face is preferrable.

It drives me nuts too!!! I hate my own hair in my face and I can't understand how people can stand it in their face!

Sometimes it bothers me & sometimes it doesn't. The time it bothered me the most was when DS was 6 & having dental work done. The dentist didn't use ANYthing to tie back her hair & it was hanging in his mouth while she drilled. She didn't like it much when I asked her to remove it from his mouth & do something to keep it out. After that, seeing a singer's hair in his/her face didn't bother me much.

No you are not alone!!!! I was just watching Caroline Rhea this morning and one of her contestants for the talent contest got a makeover and her hair was in her eyes! So annoying...

Just ask my DD, 11! She has long hair and loves to wear it loose. I won't allow her to come to the table unless she at least has it pulled back with barrettes. I can't stand it when it hangs in her face. GRRRR. She also likes little wispy things hanging down when she has it in a ponytail. It makes me want to grab a hairbrush and do her hair.

Somehow it doesn't bother me as much when it's on tv, but I still don't find it attrative.

I don't care for it either! My sil is a mop head and has that mess hanging down covering half her face! Drives me nuts! So far I've got my 7 year old dd "brainwashed" and she will tell me when her bangs are too long! Wonder how many years that will last!;) :jester:

LOL! I teach wind instruments in a small studio, and when a student comes in and ignores the hair hanging in their eyes, I have to brush it away for them. I DRIVES ME CRAZY!!:D

My DD did that as a child too. It was the reason we cut her hair short in 5th grade!

My sister used to chew her hair, it drove me wild. Made my mother so crazy she made her cut her hair very short and my sister pouted for months, LOL
