Am I the only one who does not like a particular Disney character?

For me, It's Snow White, then Pooh and all his friends. Never liked Pooh and as for Snow White, I'd rather listen to Gilbert Gottfried rattle on for hours then listen to her annoyingly high pitched fake voice. Tink doesn't really bother me, I just don't get all the hype about her.

I am not overjoyed by anything that Disney is putting out lately. It used to be a treat for movies to be made, now it seems as if they are producing less than stellar work for a profit. Shame.

on the could not care less list:

Stitch: just don't get it :confused3 And the ride: meh

Tinkerbell or any other Fairies- totally agree, even though we have a tree topper the my DH just HAD TO HAVE

Snow White- still a classic but the voice on the movie just crawls up your back because it is so high pitched

But, when my DH and I go, it is always fun to see little kids get so excited meeting a character. It just makes us smile and laugh at the expressions on the faces- about as close to pure, unfettered happiness as you can ever be. We love it when our kids do the same.:goodvibes

I don't like Chip or Dale. I guess I'm tired of them. I mean they are EVERYWHERE in Disney World. At every meal. At every character meet and greet.

My sister and I believe that their costumes must be the cheapest to make, that's why they are everywhere.

On the other hand, I love Tink and Daisy. They are my favorites.

After reading through over 5 pages, I was beginning to wonder if anyone else felt this way about Chip n Dale. I know they have their fans, but it's hard for me to believe that they are quite as popular as Disney thinks they are.

I adore Tink :tinker: but I have since I was a little girl. My mom bought my tinkerbell halloween costume at the Disney Village (now DTD Marketplace) well before Disney character costumes were "in".

However, I cannot stand Stitch....:sad2: I refuse to go on Stitch's Great Escape (fart & chili cheese burp effects? Ick..), and I hated when they had Stitch TP the castle...dunno...that little alien just rubs me the wrong way :lmao:

Ironically, I adore "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" which is a song from....Lilo & Stitch. ;)

Does anyone else think that the live Tink character they have at the parks is just really odd looking? I don't know if its the hair or what - but it just seems totally wrong to me. The other fairies don't bother me, but Tink sure does.

she disturbed me too....the hair was a little freaky. all the others looked great, but Tink....not so much

i don't like the main Stitch characters. Nani and Lilo are just horribly mean to one another. Stitch is annoying.

i don't care for Sleeping Beauty. she just seems like an incredibly boring character. and i've yet to meet one in the parks who shows any type of personality.

i don't mind Tinkerbell. but she is ON everything, and has been for a long time. she was popular before the most recent movies. i adore Peter Pan though and wish he were on some things.

Most characters are terrific. Even the evil ones are consistently evil.

And then there's Tink. Tinkerbell, though she sort of redeemed herself in the story's end, was jealous, vindictive, and didn't play fair. Not my favorite role model.

And Stitch -- well --- rude bodily noises and smells aren't my type of humor. I realize that kids think he's funny. For me, not at all.

Love Tigger, Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale

I have a list......lol

I used to like Tink until Disney went and ruined her. I liked her as Peter Pan's sidekick, who didn't speak and only made chiming noises. Now.....she is just to commercialized. (i know, i know......my screename says otherwise, but the day i signed up here I wasn't feeling creative......)

Stitch........I don't get it

Jessie from Toy Story........obnoxious much?

Winnie the Pooh characters........I don't "dislike" the characters, I just dont have love for them.

I tend to like the characters that are not in your face all the time.....my personal fave is chip and dale. I have a picture with them from every trip I have made to the world since I was 3 years old.

DW and I talked about this after our most recent trip. I actually think they aren't supposed to show any sort of personality beyond that which is shown in the movies. In other words, Ariel is just a teenager, and all of the Ariels I've met have shown that...bubbly, excited. Aurora, however, has always been the most regal of the Disney Princesses. She is very subdued in the movie, and I think the Auroras in the park also play this perfectly. I would find it very odd if I met an Aurora who acted like Ariel or Snow White.

Just my 2 cents, though.

I like Tink. I agree they seem to be throwing her down people's throats. But the Disney Channel played her movies and I really liked them and I would have loved LOVED as a kid. When I was a kid they didn't do to many of those straight to dvd movies and when I would watch movies like Peter Pan I always wanted to see more of how the fairies or mermaids lived. I like sweet happy cutsy movies.

I am not a fan of Pinocchio or Bambi. The first is too scary (I still get a little upset when that little kid is turning into a donkey and is crying for his mama) and I it is one thing to have a character enter the movie as an orphan or had lost a parent, but I am not a fan of killing of mom in the middle of the movie. But my 3yo son loves Bambi.

I do not like face characters. It is hard for me not to think that this is an adult person, dressed in a costume. It is easier to suspend belief with the full costume. Or, maybe it is the caked on makeup that turns me off:sick: My DH made me get our picture taken with Cinderella last year and I had the hee-bee-gee-bees the entire time I had to stand there. I could not get away fast enough. Although, I have to say Mary Poppins wished me happy birthday as I was watching her sign autographs and I was elated.:cloud9:. I was :banana:the rest of the afternoon. But maybe that was because she was a little ways away and I could not see the layers of foundation.:scared1:

i hate both groups of characters from whole movies and also individual ones.

i don't like characters from the princess and the frog, the incredibles, or lilo and stitch. we don't stop to meet them if we see them in parks. i really just don't like them because i don't like the movies, though. i guess i never considered it in a personal characteristic way lol

I know some people will probably be upset, but I don't like Winnie the Pooh.
Sorry just never have.

AGREE!!! hate hate hate stinky POOH! ;) He is whiney and I just never liked him or the other pooh characters either.

I don't really like Mickey, Minnie, Peter Pan, Goofy, Donald..shall I go on? LOL
When i was a kid and we would go to Disney...before the meet and greets, the characters would wander around the park and come up and hug you w/o warning, I was FREAKED OUT! Hated them doing that and I would always hide behind my parents, i don't think I have ANY photos of me taken with these characters and I went to disney several years in a row. I hope my kids aren't the same way, haha.

I love Tink and the fairies...i don't even think about her as the same "person" that was in peter pan. My girls have never even seen Peter Pan...its like she is a completely diff. character in my mind. Don't know what it is about her...but we all love her and LOVE all 3 movies and can't wait for the 4th to come out!

Maybe, you need to delve into this further.... Some kind of disboard analysis is in order.:sail:

Just kidding, honestly, I really don't like whiney Winnie either his voice is
off and bothers me for an animated character.
Donald is too angry he needs to chill...Lol ;)

I'm going to get beaten for this, but I really don't like Mickey much. He's all goody-goody, he's always right and always wins.

Plus, it should be DONALD's Philarmagic !!! Seriously, that rat is everyfrickinwhere, can't they let the duck have ONE thing in the park ??

Any Pixar character except Slinky Dog. I'm not a Pixar fan, so that's why I'm not into those characters.

I like all of the characters. I go thru phases of who I like each year. The only one I hate is Lotso. He just freaks me out - cute, cuddly, smells like strawberries, but he tries to hurt othery toys!

Watched the Great Fairy Rescue this evening with the familyon DC and I am now in the pro-Tink camp. Actually enjoyed this Disney Fairies movie compared to the 1st one I sat thru. Tink comes off as a pretty decent little tinker in this movie.
