Am I the only one LOVES the bus transportation method over driving?

My van is parked as soon as I arrive at my resort on every trip! I love the ease of using Disney's transportation and being chauffered around! Buses, boat launches, monorail is the only way to go for me!

Our car only left the resort parking lot twice...once when the guys went to Universal Studios and the second was check out day. I love using the buses. I like being able to relax and enjoy the scenery and not worrying about finding a good parking place.

I agree. We love the busses. We fly all the time now but, even when we did drive, we never used the van the whole time we were there. And now that we fly we never have rented a car. Like alot of posters have said, it's part of the magic for us. We do give ourselves plenty of time to go from place to place, because you may occasionally have to wait a little longer for the bus. But that's okay, at least we don't have to worry about traffic or getting lost getting where we have to go. And as TerryKitten said, it's a good time to catch a few ZZZZZZZZZZ's. I can't tell you how many times DH and I have done that. One of these days we're going to miss getting off at our resort because we're napping. We've been lucky so far. Talk about relaxed.

Park the car at your airport, fly to MCO, hop in the towncar or more recently the DME bus and off you go to your resort. The only issues that you have to worry about are: where are my keys and where did I park the car.

Don't get me wrong. We've driven from PA to WDW, and even rented a car. Neither of them match the convenience of not having to worry about driving and none of the expense. Besides, you'd miss not crossing paths with alteast one young Tarazan who needs to burn up a little extra energy on the bus.


While the DW isn't with me on this one, yet... It is my plan to wear purple pants when I retire.

I agree...Disney bus system all the way. Even when we do drive to Disney, we park the car and never move it. That is part of my DH vacation--no driving. And I love the bus system and talking to all the other people around us. No way would we drive while at WDW!!

I agree with all of you! I love taking the busses also! I don't want to have to worry about where to go, reading maps, etc. We stayed onsite in June at ASMo and the busses were great! Never had to wait more than 15 minutes. Very convenient!!!

In Dec 2005, DH and I stayed on site for the first time. We used ME and all WDW transportation and we will do it exactly the same way next time! Sometimes you wait, but it's so nice just sitting on the bus/boat/monorail! We will always use the on site transportation. It also saves us some do-re-mi too!!

We LOVE taking Disney Transportation!! It would be stressful to have to drive ourselves everywhere....to us its a perk, part of being there.

Now I will say we don't go during busiest times of year so we have never encountered waiting/problems as some report.

we have only rented a car once. my husband likes to leave the driving home also whenwe are down there. as soon as i see the busses , I FEEL LIKE IM HOME. its so exciting when we see them. .......haha

Busses, boats, and monorail..all the way!!! Love to mingle with the other guests and enjoy hearing how their trip is going. One trip we were heading back to the hotel from DTD. We had a really fun bus driver ..he had the whole bus singing Zip-a-dee-do-dah en route to our resort.

I have no problem with the actual bus ride. The problem is standing in one spot waiting for them at the end of a long day with extremely sore and tired feet. I can't take it. I would rather walk to my car than stand and wait. For the most part we drive, use the monorail, or sometimes take a boat, but no busses.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the busses!

It's part of the experience. Some times we have to wait for the busses, sometimes we have to stand on them, but we still prefer it to driving! There has never been a time that I wished we had a car there.

I'm with you. I drive to WDW, park my car, and don't move it again until I leave.

We love the disney transportation. We fly a 9 hour flight to get there and then the last thing we want to do is drive all the time. We do rent a car so we can get some holiday bargains while there and to have the freedom we are used to at home.

we rented a car the first year we went and it was horrible. Fighting with traffic, getting lost in an unfamiliar area, etc. The buses are the way to go!

We did not touch our car once we got to the Poly last December, took the busses all week long, much better than parking, waiting for trams, etc. We plan on doing the same thing next time we go!!!

It is a must for us! I drive 3 hours to get there and do not want to do anymore driving until we have to leave! WDW transportation is the only way to go!

From the monet we park at the resort until we check out we dont get into our cars.. I always say WDW is a world unto itself and taking the WDW transportation helps add to that magic..
