Am I The ONLY One Here Who Does NOT Like The Cheese Soup at Le Cellier?!

Me neither. It tastes too much like beer.

This is disappointing to hear. I have an ADR for LeCellier in December and I was looking forward to trying the Soup but I HATE beer. I can't stand the taste at all. I guess I shouldn't order it?

As I responded in another post on this subject, I loved the soup. I didn't even know there was beer in it until we returned home and I read it somewhere. Perhaps you and someone else in your party can share it?

By all means, order the soup! I just happen to not like the soup-but NOT because it "tastes like beer." In fact, I do not think I would have ever known it was made with beer if I had not read that here on the DisBoards. Remember, I am in the minority for not liking the soup! :upsidedow

:) Well, I didn't really care for it when I tried it last fall. But I'm hoping I was having an off day and plan to try it again next week while I'm there.

I didn't know the soup was made with beer when I ordered it a couple of years ago, but I definitely tasted it. I can't stand the taste of beer either and that's probably why I didn't care for the soup. If you really can't stand beer, you will probably taste it and dislike the soup. There's plenty of other great appetizers to order. The salads are great.

I am a Canadian admitting that I also did not like the soup. All I tasted was the beer, and I hate beer too...... PS I've NEVER heard of this soup in Canada, only in Epcot, too funny:)

Must be like that "French" dressing nobody in France has heard of. :rotfl:

If you don't like the beer taste, there is a new potato soup at Panera Bread I had last night that is awesome. It is like the Le Cellier soup but lighter and no beer taste.

There is just something about LeCellier in general (to me) that is so over-rated. I do not get the love affair with the soup...or the pretzel bread. These are OK but to hear people become so infatuated with two OK foods is beyond me. I also feel the steaks are just OK too. It's not a place I avoid going to but is not a place I get too excited about either.

I really don't get it..........:confused3
