Am I The ONLY One Here Who Does NOT Like The Cheese Soup at Le Cellier?!

....it's the same reason folks to ga-ga over L'Originale Alfredo de Roma Ristorante....BLECCHHH!!

I'll see your BLECCHHH for Alfredo's and raise you one....that's a good analogy and it is BLECCHHH too. :confused3

Hey, but I guess to each his own. That's what keeps these boards going...all of the various opinions.

I grew up in WI, and live on the MN/WI border. You are right, Wisconsinites know their way around a good cheese soup. In fact, they are experts on anything made with cheese, even though that may include a cheese head worn to a Packer game. ITA that good cheese soup does not contain bacon and it certainly isn't white! It may have beer in it though and sometimes popcorn on the top. Anyway, I do not like Le Cellier's cheese soup. You probably won't like it either, so my suggestion is to skip it.

For those who aren't sure if Le Cellier's soup has beer in it or not, it does. Moosehead to be exact.

Its white cheddar at Le Cellier to go with that Moosehead. It used to be Black Diamond White Cheddar - which is a great white cheddar - I don't think it is any longer.

There is some Byerly's/Lunds Beer Cheese Soup in my freezer right now......

I like beer cheese soup, although I don't like beer. I think Le Cellier's is good - but different than the popcorn topped stuff of a good Wisconsin bar. Its probably worth someone at a table ordering it so you can stick a spoon in it. Can't have it anymore though - turns out I'm gluten intolerant and the beer cheese soup at Le Cellier has a lot of flour in it.

yes... you're the only one.

not really... but that's okay, more for us Cheese Soup lovers!

I love LeCellier and thought the steak was the best we had at Disney last time, but I must admit I really don't like tha cheese soup at all. The pretzel stick were quite yummy though.:thumbsup2

Although I don't care for the cheese soup, I -like you- loved everything else about Le Cellier. Mabe it is just a "New Englander thing?" :rotfl: (RI here)

There is just something about LeCellier in general (to me) that is so over-rated. I do not get the love affair with the soup...or the pretzel bread. These are OK but to hear people become so infatuated with two OK foods is beyond me. I also feel the steaks are just OK too. It's not a place I avoid going to but is not a place I get too excited about either.

I really don't get it..........:confused3
I am with you on Le Cellier. I just had dinner there yesterday. We have mushroom filet and NY stripe as entry and Duck two way and ceasar salad for app. Filet is ok not that great as many disers advertise in this board. NY stripe is way too salty. If definition of great steak is with a lot of salt then it is not my cup of tea. The only thing good is Duck two way.

I love it..lOOOOOOOOOOOVE it...I've made it at home too and we LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT! Did I meantion we loveeeeeeeeee it...............

Now BOMAS on the other hand *PUKE*
