Am I really CRAZY?

Ok here goes. Our trip is not for four more weeks, but I am doing everything WAY ahead of time, so I thought: Why not start my trip report???

Cast:

Me: Disney freak!!!
DH: Lives with a Disney freak
DS5: Been to DL but not in two years. Watches planning DVD daily and can give you our tour plan by heart (What am I doing to him???)
DD4: Also watches DVD and mad she is not 48 in tall
Cuz19: Hey, I need SOMEONE to watch my little one while we ride EE

History:

My mom passed away in March and one thing she always wanted was to take the grandbabies to WDW. She asked me shortly before she left us to take them in her name. As the true Disney fan I am, I couldn't say no! We planned to take the trip over Nana's birthday so we would feel as though she were there and Papa was to come to (They shared a B-day and I thought it would be a good idea to have him away from home for that day) Things didn't work out and Papa will stay home, but alas our trip is planned, payed for and we are waiting.

It started in April with the news of Free Dining. YEAH RIGHT?! Who's playing a joke on me???? I call Disney reservations and book on the spot! We were gonna go Value and pay for Dining, but when I heard that Heaven was smiling on us, we went all out and chose the Contemporary. ( We live in AZ and no telling when we will get back.)

Now for the shopping (my favorite part) I remember from our Honeymoon trip how hot it is and decide we all need new wardrobes. At least that is the excuse I give DH. I don't think he fell for it After filling up our luggage (new and Disney of course) I am now almost fully packed. Did I mention it is still four weeks away??? I even have new hair "pretties" for my DD. No one touch my Disney stuff. That is for the trip. (My daily chant to DH and kids)

After calling to change our ADRs for the mmmm 10th time (What can I say? Somedays I don't feel like seafood and the next I do) DH starts to get excited. Are you kidding? Why wait until a month out? I think the advance planning is the best! But I digress. I start TiVo'ng everything Disney on the Travel channel and we watch as a family. I have never seen my kids sit still for so long! Hubby starts to think, is 7 days enough??? (I think he is catching the fever! FINALLY) So I call Disney and sure, we can add a day. But I call the airline and they want 560 more to move our tickets one day! After locking myself in the room and crying for an hour, I realize we will be fine, I just need to start planning another trip ( More to come on that, I figure the DCL in 2008 with the whole fam)

Aaaahhhh, the wait is killing me. How much time can I spend on the DIS? Haven't posted much, but have read ALOT! I think DH is sick of hearing me complain about the wait so I thought I would get it all out here. I figured you wouldn't mind as I am sure a lot of you are going through the same!

Oh well. More on our trip when we return. Unless I have another moment of mindless dribble to share

I know how your feeling. We still have two months to go. But, it doesn't sound as long if I say its "just" eight weeks away. Funny how the mind plays tricks with our words or is it our words play tricks with our minds???? LOL Its late and I am day/night dreaming of disney. I finally ordered my kids halloween costumes tonight, so lets hope I ordered the right sizes. See, your not the only one who can sit and let the mindless dribble seep out. So, if you feel the need to express yourself, please feel free to babble at me all you need too. My husband is tired of hearing it, and he to gets the daily "dont touch that thats for disney" speech. My kids were even given a shelf in each of their closets for their disney "stuff" ie specail clothes, travel stuff, etc. Ok, I think I need to go to bed now, I didnt realize how late it actually was. Have a good one!!!

YAY!!!! I started my PRE-pre trip with over 40 days to go a couple weeks ago. It got out of hand. So I did everything I could to let it die till Sept.1st!

So I KNOW what impatience is!!! You are Singin to the Choir, sista!

As of today there is 26 more days!!!!! We go on the 5th of Sept. through the 14th and are staying at the Port Orleans Riverside (because of our "party of 6").

We also have bought vacation-only stuff which is packed in a massive duffle bag, which I stare at longingly.

Go to the TECH board regarding your ticker. My DH did mine so I am clueless!!

Are your kids getting excited!!!!!??? We watch the planning DVD a-LOT!

Once you get your ticker...Keep starring at it and eventually it'll be time to go!!!

I am so glad I am not the only one!!! My DH is really getting excited (I am so glad he is finally on board). He is even considering doing the DVC...Any comments or ideas on if this is good or bad???

FINALLY... TOMORROW

Here we are ONE MORE DAY TO GO. The bags are packed. (The kids almost were too with the way they were acting last night!) I confirmed everything yesterday: Garden Grocer, ADR's, room requests. Tell me why I feel depressed. I think I really enjoy the obsessive compulsive neurotic planning stage of the DIS planning. I love getting on these boards. I almost feel as though when I get back, after I write my TR and dining report, I won't have an excuse to come here. I may not post much but I am here every day and have told so many people about it I feel like I should get marketing royalties or something .

I am not in the "clique" so I don't have plans to meet any of you that are going to be here in the next few days ( I will be in the world from tomorrow through 9/9) but I do feel as though I will miss you. Oh what the heck. I guess I will just plan the next trip. Maybe by then I can get the nerve up to fock (I still blush when I type that, cause I pray I don't make a typo on it ) a fellow DISer when I see one!

Anywho...Thanks to all who have given me GREAT ideas and tips for my trip. You have truly made this planning alot easier than my honeymoon trip which we did commando style! I have enjoyed my time on the DIS and cannot wait to get back to write my TR!

OK EMOTIONAL TIME OVER! (What can I say? The mouse does it to me!!!!)

Not sure if this is what you are looking for as a ticker but go to www.tickerfactory.com and you can put in your signature a ticker that will count down the days for you. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom and also that your dad won't be going with you but you will have a great time - your mom will be so glad her grandbabies will be able to vist the most Magical place on earth!!

P.S. Ok, I'm a goof lol. I didn't read where you said you leave tomorrow - wow!! tomorrow!!! How exciting for you! Hope you have an awesome time and please let us know how the trip went!
