So I've been reading along & it appears the BR is about $40 off per night in value season. It seems I would be better off booking with a AAA rate & getting 15% right?

AP discounts are generally 40% off rack rate, not $40. I thought so anyway. I do know that AP rates have always been much better then AAA rates.

Moderates are $40 less, not all resorts. Fifteen percent off of a mod would only be about $20

values are $18 less, BC standard is $71 less

This year they are a flat dollar amount off not percentage like they were in 2004. This year you get $18 off values, 40 or 45 off moderates (can't remember) and 75 of deluxes.

Yes I got $75 off this summer. It just seems the BR everyone is posting is alot less than in the past:confused3

My thoughts are that BR rates are much better than AAA for **Room Only** rates. But, if you want a package - meaning you want the dining package (that you PAY for) then you need to book AAA. Because you can't add dining to an AP rate.

My AP rate at the Poly during value season in December is $78.00 per night less than the rack rate.

I just checked tonight and found that the AAA rate for the Polynesian for value season in December is $52 less than the rack rate I originally booked. Since I don't have an AP, I guess I'll go with AAA. Saves me $411 after purchasing my AAA membership. Better than rack rate, I guess.

AAA may be better for me too. If I stay with PLVC its $550 (yikes) 15% would be $82.00 off. Hmm...

I got AAA rate for December. Pop Century- $61. Last year we got it for $49. I still feel $61 is a deal for everything we get staying onsite. If I was staying in a deluxe I may not feel that way.

I figure they have to make up the expense for Magical Epress somewhere. Too bad it punishes their most faithful guests.

you have to do the math for your individual trip--and most of us here are willing to check AP rates for you if you give us the details. THat way you can see for sure if it's a better deal before you buy it.

I switched from AAA ressie to an AP, altho we'll be there during regular season. I saved about the same amount as the extra $ for the AP---but as an AP holder, I could purchase the DDE card for $50. With 3 DSs, that will be the biggest savings, and well worth the price of the AP!

Hi Everyone! Okay, we don't have an AP and are trying to decide which way to go. I think after some help from all of you, we have decided to try and stay at either AKL or WL. We are going Dec 9-17 and are needing 3 rooms. Has anyone gotten a quote from either of these hotels for that time period? Just wondering if we should get the AP or AAA. If any of you have info for either of these resorts for this time period that would be great! Also, my MIL and FIL will be checking in on Dec 7th. Can I still book for them if I get the AP even though we won't be there until Dec. 9th? Thanks for any help you can give us! I LOVE these boards!!! :earsboy:

AKL pool view is 1382.72 no standard availible, savannah view add 490.56 concierge add 1873.12.
WL 1650.24 for courtyard view and add 936.64 for concierge.
I think you would have to book through a travel agent to get more than one room,I am not for sure.

Luvindisneyworld, thanks SO MUCH for checking for me! I'm thinking that is the way to go for us. I was quoted $191. per night with a AAA discount. It seems like the BR program makes it about $172 per night. I really appreciate you checking for me! :grouphug:
