Am I gonna miss out???

Well thats another couple of days put in. So which waterpark would you recommend, TL or BB???

And as for EPCOT i'll leave it in but if i decide i don't wanna do it, im sure my G/F will

Illuminations is truly wonderful, its the only foreworks/water display i have ever bought the music for as it effcted me so.
Don't spoil the illusion, Obi. Where's the hard-nosed antihero we've come to know and love? :lmao:

We prefer TL as it has more of a tropical feel and the wave pool is great not to mention Crush 'n' Gusher and the shark reef!!

Claire ;)

I must agree and so does DH that IllumiNations has that something about it :)

Ok having looked here and re read the brits guide, wishing it had a section on how to get around without a car, rather than just being about car drivers .

"Orlando Without A Car" is a 3 page section contained within the Driving and Car Hire chapter and includes information on Public Transport, Shuttle Services, Town Cars and Limousines, and Taxis, including all the relevant web links. :thumbsup2

I have read that bit, but the first page or so for each park is how to get there by car, it would make it a lot easier if they did a vbit for each park of how to get there without one. Still its a good book.

As for animal kingdom, its one i may do on one of the days i haven't added yet

You need to look at the schedules and route maps for the Lynx buses on http://www.golynx.com they are a great way to get about if you don't want to get a taxi (or use shuttle vouchers available from some holiday reps) The TTC is one of the places you can catch the lynx bus.

I dont know what type of tickets you have, but if you have park-hoppers, then you should remember that typhoon lagoon tends to close earlier than the main parks, and if you have park hoppers you can then get back to MK or Epcot in the evening for the fireworks if you like. We tend to plan on leaving at around 3 because otherwise we get caught in a thunderstorm, but that is what you get for going in late August...
Similarly with Animal Kingdom, it closes early, and if you have park hoppers you can hop elsewhere for fireworks--AK doesnt have them cos of the animals.

I second the vote for TL over BB, particularly if you dont have kids with you. Disney front desks are really good for helping you get to other attractions--they often have organized shuttle busses to seaworld / universal etc.

If you are going to do a full day at epcot, plan to be in Future world from Early opening till World Showcase opens. Make sure to get fast passes for Soarin'. Unless your fast passes come in in the afternoon, you will want to be doing world showcase during that period as future world queues will be massive. Future world queues die down again in the evenings (after 7ish), but the attractions there do close before World Showcase, so if you missed a couple of things you might need to go back earlier to fit them in. I would be really reluctant to miss Epcot out, it doesnt sound great on paper, but is a really nice experience, and effectively two very different parks in one place.

Some great advice here. Personally I love Epcot. I cant wait to go back again. I love the rides there and Illuminations. Best of all strolling through the countries and just taking in the atmosphere.

If you dont really fancy Epcot. I would go to a water park in the morning and then perhaps spend the afternoon/evening at Epcot. That way you can ride the main rides and will see Illuminations. They have some great resturants there as well.

I prefer TL I think overall. I love the wave pool. I also like BB. If you can spend half a day at both. So far looks like you can fit in most.

5/6 BB or TL Magic Kingdom
6/6 First day of two day Dolphin Adventure Florida Keys
7/6 Second day (dolphin cove???)
8/6 Busch gardens???
9/6 Disney MGM for the Star Wars theme
10/6 Animal Kingdom/ Pleasure Island

This is a very rough idea from me. It takes us ages to put a plan in place. We always change our schedule frequently until we are happy that we see everything, but also can relax in between. I would prob change this itinerary as well several times. We dont really tend to have full rest days. Just the morning or afternoon. Thats because we have children now and its not fair on them. Before then we were at a Theme Park from open to close everyday.

Good luck with your planning.

Just something I noticed...

To go on a 2 day excursion to the Keys, then follow this up immediately after by a public transport trip to Busch Gardens might take too much out of you. I think it takes around an hour and a half to get to Busch from Orlando.

Just something you might want to think about.

Oh, and have a great trip! We fly out the day you come back.....make sure and keep the plane tidy for us :)

Well if Obi loves Epcot it must be worth something, after all, he's the biggest cynic on this board! :lmao: I do agree though, it is spectacular and I love wandering around the world, some of the little shows like the dragon acrobats in China and the off kilter band in Canada are great entertainment.

Cynic? Moi? Oh wait, that's pretentious? Moi?
