Hi, I found you and your pre-trip report on the July board. I'm counting down to the end of stress the same day as you. Our last day of school is also June 19th. I am the 1st grade room mom for my DD6's class. We have the class party the 18th. My nephew's Bar Mitzvah (of which I am organizing it all) is June 20th (with a service on the evening of the 19th too). I am the chairperson of the decorations committee for the big Project Graduation Party at the high school. The decorations must begin being removed form the shed on the 20th (without me there because of the Bar Mitzvah). The fire retardancy professional is coming the afternoon of the 20th to treat our decorations to get the fire marshall's approval. They start being installed on the 21st (again without me) and finalized on the 22nd. The big party is the 22nd. I have extra work to make sure everyone who is going to be there knows what they're supposed to do and what gets done (since I won't be there to supervise). THEN.... on the 26th my DD6 has dress rehearsal for her ballet recital that is on the 27th. My DS17 has a college preview day conflicting with the recital. Then my last day on the board of directors of my synagogue is June 30th. DH and my 23rd anniversary is June 29th!!. DD6 turns 7 on July 1. I don't even have time to plan her birthday party because DD21 just put her "moved up" wedding in August on my plate!!
I NEED A VACATION.
Our Disney trip is just 10 days after DD's 7th's birthday. It won't be until then that I have time to do shopping for the items on our list that I don't already have!! I can't wait until all this is over. Next year, I will not be on the board, I will NOT be a room mother (I promise to say No). I will not be planning a Bar Mitzvah. Of course there is the little matter of DD's wedding.
You'll love the Contemporary. My DH stayed there in 1973 close to when it opened. Yeah. I haven't stayed there, but my sister loved it in January. We'll be counting down to No Stress Day!!
