Where did that thread go...? I swear I just signed off for a little while.. just to get a few hours sleep.. and when I came back, the thread I was reading was gone! I've done like 3 searches looking for it...

I have seen a thread "closed" because it was getting a little out of hand.. but to make it completely disappear? What does it take for that to happen? Now I'm dying to know who added what while I was sleeping for "them" to take it away...

I have no idea what thread you are talking about? Threads are sometimes moved to another board if they are off topic for the board they were posted on. While most problematic threads are locked, sometimes they may require deleting.

Just FYI, if a thread has been locked or deleted and you start a new one asking about it with specific details "What happened to the thread about the dog that bit 47 people yesterday" is considered to be "restarting a closed thread" and that is not allowed and may result in an infraction.

Sorry you can't find the thread you were reading. If you are enjoying a thread it is often best to subscribe to it so you can easily find it again. If the thread is deleted it will also disappear from your subscription list so that is your way to know that it is gone permanently.

Now you have me a bit curious! But even I can't see a thread once it has gone *POOF* . One of the hazzards of a discussion board. I think even worse is when someone posts something and you get totally into the story and then they leave and you NEVER find out how it ended. That seems to happen a lot around here.

I'd tell ya about it, but now you have me afraid of an infraction.. I don't think I have any of those, would like to keep it that way!!!
