My trips to WDW are just me and DS13 (who has Down Syndrome and is as Disney crazy as his mom!) Last trip was a short 4-day in April. Don't plan to go again until Sept. 2007, because we have a family cruise scheduled for Oct. 2006, don't want to go except in low crowds, and probably can't get away with pulling him out of school in Oct. then again in Jan/Feb. But the last few weeks I've really been wishing I had a trip on the horizon.
Then today I learned that my high school marching band is going to be in the MK Parade on New Years Eve. Even though my 25th HS Reunion is approaching, I still like watching the school's current band.
Now here's the really crazy part - I'm thinking about a short solo trip over New Years. DS would kill me - but I don't think I can deal with him and the crowds. He uses a wheelchair in the parks and only manages short days, and isn't wild about the parades, which would be a can't miss for me. I figure with just me I can wiggle about the crowds - but it would be much more exhausting with him in tow.
Am I nuts to even think about going?? If I do, is there ANY chance of any discounts?
