So the rec dept in the next town if hosting a slew of summer programs for the kids, to which crazy as I am, I'm thinking of enrolling the kids.

However I want my summer!!! I like sleeping in late, chillin' wit' my crew.

So here is the schedule

June 17:
Last day of school and Graduation:

June 21- 25 Basketball (DS8 and DS9) 9am -12pm

June 26 - July 4 - Disneyworld

July 6 - DS13's B'day

August 2-6 Soccer (DS9) 9am - 12 pm

August 16 - 20 Cross Country (all 3 boys) 9am - 12pm

August 25 - 30 (Me) Disneyworld

Sept 1 - First day of school

And Dh wants me to squeeze swimming lessons for all 4 kids in there too.

Am I losing my ever lovin' mind??? Or is this possible??

I'm going to ask mom if I can put DD in her day care if the boys are doing the sports, I might actually get to walk since the good track is in the same town.

Nope your not crazy.. it can be done!!!

Lets see.. here's ours so far...

June 1- July 9... summer park program for DS9 & friends 9:30-11:30..except on fridays its 9-11 for swim!!!!

Every Monday, Wed & Thurs is Cross country for PJ from 7AM to...??? whenever she finishes her mileage..

Every Tues, Wed, Thurs is DS13 (soon to be 14 on Saturday) basketball from 7:30am - 9am
The first week of June from 9-10:30am the babysitting kids are going to basketball camp so I need to drop & pick up...

DS14 has soccer tryouts June 16 & 17

DS9 still has 4 soccer games up til June 10th

4H projects must be complete... DS9 has to finish rabbit book by 6/4 (my deadline)...DS9 must print out and fix binder for penny collection by 6/3...DS9 must complete his woodworking exhibit project by 6/13.

DD must complete her woodworking project by 7/10...
DD must get her consumer clothing project purchased by 7/10 (hoping to look out that 6/10 when she has a meeting by the mall)

Plus extra visitations w/ the stepboys...
So far no response back from the other side about what times I am able to help this summer.. I'm sure I'm being called all kinds of names because I won't just give in and do it all..

June 23- July 4th: Ft. Myers/Captiva/Disney

So yes, it can be done... its a lot of running...but at least they can't say "I'm bored"

But I'm not super Nan!!!!!

I like to sleep late, watch stupid movies, stay cool in the A/C.

Mom is going to check with her boss but she doesn't see why she can't take DD. There will be no middle schoolers there this summer and I will be right there on the track.

Urgh, $510... I'd be finding me a friend! LOL Actually alot of our swimteam members do summer swim lessons @ their homes... and most all of them are lifeguard certified thru the high school course and others....

I'm not super Nan...believe me.. I have my days... why do you think at 9pm, I'm on here tonight!! The boys are fighting non-stop.. DH is mister touchy feely.. DD is grumpin' because of her geometry final tomorrow...and I'm thinking..great last day of school tomorrow..and with these attitudes.. I'm thinkin'.. should I start the countdown to the return of school???

full moon tomorrow, that's why they are crabby pants!!!

I'm sending mine to bed! I need to leave early tomorrow to get DS9 lunch. I found out about a stupid field trip today that's happening tomorrow!!!

$85 a camp x 6. Are they trying to kill me??!?!?
Yeah, and swim is 117 a person. But I can't use the pool that the rest of the camps are in because I'm not a town resident. What ever.

Soooo much better you than me!

Morgan gets out on June 18th. Still not sure what I'm doing with her on the MWFs of the weeks of the 21st and 28th. DH has the first full week of July off. ?? not sure where she's going the weeks of 7/12 and 7/19. She has girl scout camp the weeks of 7/26 and 8/2 and "acting" camp the weeks of 8/9 and 8/16. School starts on the 31st of August.

My sister is home Fridays, I think, but I'm going to have to plan a whole bunch of play dates for Mondays and Wednesdays and do pay backs on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Those 4 weeks of camp are over $700. :scared1:

It's so stressful trying to figure it all out. Bubba is going to camp m-t and 1/2 day every other fri. He gets out on 6/23-Wednesday. I'll have to take thurs and fri off that week. We are going to Disney for 10 days in July. But then what do I do with him when camp gets out and there is still 2 weeks before school starts???

why is camp so flippin' expensive? I need to live in BFF's town where camp is free!!!

Apparently DS13 must go to CC camp because he's the kid everyone talks about at the HS. not really sure why since he's slow as molasses, but he is. I'm guessing raw talent that needs to be groomed. :confused3

$170 to $210 a week for camps here. My boys are not going to any. :rotfl2:

School is out the 8th. Allergy shots right after school.

The 9th, we go to my ILs.
The 10th we go to Pigeon Forge and stay the night for Eldest's birthday trip.
Back on the 11th.
Boys stay at ILs for VBS all week.
DH picks up boys on Father's Day. [he will probably go down on Saturday]
Allergy shots on Monday 21st.
Pick which boy gets to back on Wednesday the 22nd.
Switch off every week [due to allergy shots] until we go to Disney August 1st.
Get back from Disney 8/16.
School starts 8/17.

Geesh gues I'm the mean mommy of the bunch.

kids get out the the 16th? Haven't flipped the calendar yet.

Then they get camp farm
Haying
weeding/watering
hauling water
camp nanny and papa for the days dad has to work

rinse and repeat.

L does have some swimming in there.

camp prices here are insane and working less hours for less money just not going to happen this year boys.

oh yeah I forget camp wood 6 cords for the house and 25 for the sugarhouse.

sure which weeks would you like? and which one of the camps do you think she'd enjoy the best?

I think I need to send my Eldest to you for Farm Camp. It might help whip into better shape. :thumbsup2

We have a busy summer here too and it's costing a small fortune. And I only have 2 boys to worry about.

DS15 starts with football weight training at 7 am (yes that is 7 am) 3 days a week. So when he is done at 9 am he walks over to driver's training. This is 3 weeks in June.

DS13 has diving camp 3-4 mornings a week from 8:30-11 am. This is all of June and July.

We are done with school on June 4 and it all starts June 7.

So - weight training - $65, driver's training - $350, diving camp - $150 = $565 for 2 high school boys.

The good thing is that they don't need any equipment at the moment. Diving just needs a swim brief and he has some. Weight lifting - gym clothes. Of course after DS15 gets his permit, it will cost me some time in a mental health facility because I will be going

Wow!!!
Our school conditioning camps are free..
Our park program is free (only $2.00 per kid for Friday swim)

Now, there are camps you have to pay for... between 40 - 150... but depends on what you want to do.

So does anyone want me to start looking for homes to send links??? LOL

The 10th we go to Pigeon Forge and stay the night for Eldest's birthday trip.
Back on the 11th.

Hopefully you will get some "Mommy" time and get to the scrapbook outlet in Seiverville. :thumbsup2 We will be down there for a week soon and I have a system. My husband takes the kids to MagiQuest and I get to the outlet all by myself with no watching (and impatient) eyes.

This summer is crazy for us with my oldest getting ready to hit High School. Even though we don't start school until September 7 (day after Labor Day) tryouts and practices for Volleyball start the 10th of August. And marching band practice.

So we have filled June and July with vacations, visitors, and camps. Feels like a rollercoaster!!!!

Day camp through girl scouts is $220 a week, but I signed up early so I got it for $195 a week. I bring Morgan over to the grocery store parking lot at around 8:00 am and Dan picks her up between 5:00 and 5:30. So, it's a full full day of camp, but still...

Acting camp is $155 a week from 9:00 to 3:00. I can pay a little more to drop her off a little early, maybe $5 a day, so I can get to work on time.

But, that's only 4 weeks. Vacation is what, 9 weeks? So, I'm paying $700 for 4 weeks of camp.
