There is a big difference between being cheap and being smart!
Cheap is not letting your children have anything because you are too tightfisted to part with the cash.
Smart is buying those same things cheaper at home, packing them up and bringing them with you. The kids don't care where the things came from! We often find the same things on clearance at the Disney Store or website, Walmart or Target, that are currently on sale at WDW!
My girls "get it", they don't ask for things while we are in the parks. They know that special gifts will show up in the resort room in the mornings, or that Mommy will pull out a few toys or new t-shirts throughout the trip.
I call it being smart. Why spend more for the same items just to buy them while in WDW??

Our kids have to earn Disney dollars before the trip and what they earn is what they spend so we never have to hear them ask us for money during the trip. Once the money is gone they're done.
