Am I being to selfish?

Thank you very much harleyquinn I needed the luck. First of all let me say that from the onset of my little problem I have had some very wonderful advice from some very wonderful people and I appreciate all of you for helping me with this, it was a real situation for me that I have addressed tonight. But I would like to say that the only exception that I took was from kallison who sounds like a very insensitive person. My mom is not manipulating at all she is a very sweet person whom I would walk through fire b4 saying or doing something to hurt her and if it doesnt take an adult to ask for help to keep from doing such then I dont want no part of it and for the people that have helped me they are kind and not "wishy washy" as you so eloquently put it.
I told my mom tonight that my son and Blake do not do well when they spend too much time together and if she wants Blake to go along then I thought it would be best if we just stayed offsite and got 2 rooms so they wouldnt be together too much. I also told her that when we were together that I did expect Blake to use his manners (what he has anyway, I didnt say that part. LOL) and he would be dealt with in the same way we would my son. And I did add that I could not budge on that because the whole trip depended on it. I think it went pretty well because I didnt feel like I came across like I didnt want him to come just that I expected him to behave and mind what he was told. My mom didnt say a whole lot about it but I think she gets the idea.
Again thanks to everyone who cared enough to help. I really needed it.

I can't believe how wishy washy some of yall are! How about telling her this, how about telling her that. How about just telling her how you feel, let her deal with it, be an adult and be upfront about your feelings.

What is wishy-washy about what was suggested? We were just trying to find the most diplomatic way to tell Grams that Blake wasn't welcome. We weren't offering false reasons. We were just trying to focus on which reasons would most appeal to Granny.

My beloved MIL was one of those amazing people who could always get people to do what she wanted. She often told me that she learned at a young age that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

So, we were trying to find the honey!
