Am i all alone in Sept 9,2006 on the magic western

We didn't get a new camera, but we got a waterproof case for our Canon 230. :thumbsup2 Can't wait to try it out on the local sea life.

On another topic, does anyone know about "resort" dives, where they take you thru an abbreviated dive course and then on an accompanied dive? We're considering scuba, but don't really have the time for a full course and certification dives before we go...

For us, we'll be coming over from Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort, staying there for the night of 9/8. We'll be returning there when we get off the ship on 9/16 and staying another three nights. DSSR is our home resort.

Oh Good, Tracy& Sharon. dont worry about my room the night before the Cruise !

The reservations went rather well, sort of. I was able to get my parents into Palo at 7:30 to coincide with our 7:00 reservation. Acording to the posts I have read, DCL will combine us all into one table . . . we will have to see. :teacher: The only brunch available was for Sunday. I got a table for 4 at 10:30. We are undecided about actually going to Palo brunch. Your thoughts? Oh yeah, cancel the high tea thing, nobody is interested. The ONE shore excursion my parents wanted was booked, so they are looking for another one. SO how do you like the camera? I hear you got some pretty reputible advice in selecting one. I love mine, I cannot believe how much more it does than the old one.

Yesterday I had to reschedule my first appointment that conflicted with the cruise. It's just around the corner! :dancer:

Yes, I did have a great referal source. After spending the time to read the manual, I really agree with the hubby that I should have replaced the old camera at least a year ago. Oh well. I love the new camera. Well, as for Palo, I agree that we cancel the high tea thing and just do the brunch. As for brunch on Sunday, no way. That is prime exploring time in Key West, that is unless they have a "blue law". :woohoo:

Consider "High Tea" canceled. and the Brunch thing was a bad idea, sorry. I can hear Sloppy Joes and Capt. Tony calling me now!!

Don't forget, we don't get into Key West until 11:30. We figure we can easily do brunch before heading out.

Forgot about that one. We will need food before exploring Sloppy Joes and all the other "local establishments." :yay:

I don't think Palo's will be very conducive to "I like mine with lettuce and tomatoes, Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes. Big kosher pickle and cold draft beer . . . "

No? So are you and Boozgrl planning a Pub Crawl in Key West :dance3:

Not a pub crawl a DUVAL crawl!! And yes we are!!! :dance3:

Hey, I thought that was what the stop in Key West was for.... Start at the furthest place from the boat and work your way towards the ship. :drinking1

Yeah, but it is all in the timing, 8 hours is just not enough time to do if right.

Your right, I figure we have, lets see . . . . 144 hours after we leave Key West to do it right! party: :drinking1

70 days until its time to cruise!! (ok, it's actually tomorrow, but I don't want to forget to post it :lmao: )

I can't believe, it will be here before we know it. It just seems like yesterday when we booked!

Please add 2 more cruisers to the list! :wave2:

Myself (39) and Mom (??)

Mom and I are first time cruisers - but long-time Disney fans (ok - freaks is how most folks refer to us...), so it only makes sense that our choice would be DCL! :woohoo:

This cruise for us is a "girl's only" (meaning we're leaving my dad and my kids at home) celebration of both of our birthdays! We actually leave on Mom's birthday, but mine isn't until the end of October (but it's a BIG one, so the cruise is my parent's birthday gift to me! :bday:I have the best parent's in the whole wide world!)

We are having so much fun reading the boards and our trusty PassPorter! You all sound like a FUN group and we are looking forward to meeting and perhaps :drinking1 a few (or several) with you! Sometimes it seems like September is never going to get here!

We have early seating and have excursions booked for GC (7 Mile Beach Break) and Cozumel (Fury Catamaran & Beach Party). Mom & Dad live quite close to Port Canaveral, and are familiar with Key West, so we didn't book an official excursion there, we'll just do our own thing! (We like the idea of starting far and drinking our way back to the ship :thumbsup2: so count us in on that one! We also have cabana massages booked for CC. We had trouble with our Palo bookings and by the time we figured it out, all the times we wanted were full, so we'll have to hope for some cancellations for brunch and high tea. We were able to get a dinner ressie for one evening, but I can't remember which evening? (Mom?)

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Kris

Always happy to add new cruisers to the list. Especially the ones that like to drink and have fun. :thumbsup2 I guess your mom and my daughter share the same birthday. We get on board on her 3rd birthday..... Can't wait. This year, no nursery. :cool1:

As for Palo, I heard that they reserve some of the bookings for people to sign up once you board the ship. But you must go straight to guest services and sign up.... :hourglass

Other than that, lets just all plan for a good time. Not only will it be here before you know it, it will also be over before we know it. :sad2:

Welcome aboard!! The Duval Crawl excursion group will be gathering for a ceremonial drink at the Promonade Lounge to get everyone in the right state of mind.

Happy Independence Day
