Ok, this will be my first Disney trip with EMH in the evening. From everything said here, it sounds like it would be best to avoid parks with the evening EMH. We will never make it till 1 or 2 in the morning, so if the first hour or 2 of EMH is crowded, that is all I am worried about. We always go to EMH in the morning and then park hop around 11 or so when it starts getting busy. My question -- if a park has EMH in the morning will it still be crowded at night? (Especially if another park has a EMH in the evening.) The week we are there MK and Epcot have a lot of EMH's and it is hard to plan around them completely due to ds loves Illuminations and Wishes, so we will need to see them a couple times.
Thanks.

The logic of going late after an AM EMH would seem to make sense, but I can't vouch for it from experience. Which week will you be there?

we went to WDW in March and loved the EMH!!!! our day at Magic kingdom ended at 2 am.... here is what you do with the EMH in the evening.... sleep in!!! we got to the park around 9:30- 10:00 we got a list of the rides that were open during EMH and hit all the other rides during the day. When the EMH arrived we headed to space MT. and worked our way around! we hit all the rides that were open at least twice!!! HM we went on like 4 times it was our favorite!! I definitly reccomend hitting the EMH in the evening if you can... it is sooo worth it!!

We also enjoyed the EMH at night. We actually ended up hitting a couple by accident and it worked out very well for us. We have a DD, she was 22 mos. at the time, and if she had had enough, she just conked out in the stroller. She actually only did that once at EPCOT but she had conked out in my lap on the monorail after dinner at Chef Mickey's.

The only rides that we had trouble getting on where the Great Movie Ride at MGM and Soarin' (which we skipping and we haven't been on yet) EVERYONE in EPCOT was in the Land trying to get on Soarin'. :) We'll try to go straight to the Land in Oct. and try then.

Take advantage of them if you can. You don't have to close the park down but having a little extra time when the regular crowds leave is nice.

We also loved evening EMH as well. We were there at Christmas and we did not head to the MK until dinnertime. It was great because we slept in Christmas day, the kids opened a few gifts when they got up and we spent the rest of the day by the pool. We ate at CRT that night, managed to do some rides. By then my little ones were getting tired so DH took them back to the hotel to settle down and myself and the older kids stayed in the park. It was great because the later it got the park started to empty out and we were able to ride a good amount of rides. EMH that night was until 3am. We made it until 2am and I finally had to give in. It was really nice though because toward the end of the night we sat up near main street and listened to the music playing and watched the snow falling. It was one of the best nights there. Definately plan on doing evening EMH again.
