Always complaining....

I was just looking through the other boards and it seems like people are never happy. People complain about prices or about waiting too long. People complain that they should have known sooner or that something is about to change. People complained when "Surprise Mornings" were stopped and now complain about the "Extra Magic Hour."

I don't get. We go to WDW because we love it; if something goes wrong or isn't quite right, I'll let a CM know, and that is where it the issue ends. If it is something over which I have no control-buses, policies, ticket prices, etc.- what is the point of posting a complaint to an Internet bulletin board? Wouldn't we all be better off to draft a well-versed letter to WDW? If something good comes of it then post something positive. But, the drudgery of reading page after page and complaint laden posts makes me, and I’m sure many others, simply bored.

The very thought of Walt Disney World makes me smile. It’s sad that it makes so many others frown.

I, too, smile when I think of WDW!!!!!!

Sometimes it is difficult to spend money on a vacation when there are other things you need to spend it on. Yes the little ones to get irritable waiting in long lines. But, that is a fact of life. You wait in line at the grocery, Walmart, etc. At least at WDW you are waiting on something fun--something that will bring smiles to your children's faces.

As you said, JDY, the prices and the waiting are things we have no control over. So why complain to someone else who has no control!! I agree, if someone feels that strongly about the prices, waiting, etc, they should send a letter or email to WDW!!!!!

To many people in this world are losing the "magic" of everything today. What are we teaching our kids by complaining all the time??? I am thankful for each and every trip we get to carry our kids to WDW--or anywhere else!!! Make the most of the moment, don't always complain!

I have to agree. Although some people aren't happy unless they are complaining!! My SIL and her family went down in June and all I've heard since then is complaints about how much money they spent, how long all the lines were, how hot it was and how much it rained! Like I have control over all these things. They went on almost no rides because the lines were too long. They were back in the hotel by 3 or 4 everyday because of the rain and it was so hot their 1 son was being a pain, (he is always a pain!!) and then I hear how they spent over $1000.00 during the 4 days they were there!! Well all they did was eat and shop!!

I love WDW, I expect lines, I expect hot weather in the summer and I know it's expensive to eat there. BUT I still go and have a great time!

I find all the complaints to be kind of amusing. I guess I am the type that is so happy to be at Disney, that I don't let the little things bother me. Maybe it's because I don't go as much as some people on the DIS and don't need the extra little perks to make my fourth trip this year that much more special than my third

Example..... my last Disney trip was to DLR a little over a year ago. When we arrived at the hotel we noticed that EE times for DL were posted as two hours before the regular opening time. We were among the first dozen in line the next day. it turned out it was a mis-print and the park didn't open for another hour. By the time the gates opened there were about 500 people behind us. I was a bit ticked at first, but the minute I stepped onto Main Street and heard the music and saw the castle, it was all forgotten

Some people just need to get things off their chest, I guess. I wish I didn't have to hear it, though. I get pretty defensive when people complain to me about WDW. A person's enjoyment of their vacation depends much more on the person (their attitude) than the actual events of the trip, IMO. Too bad they don't have days set aside at the parks where all those people aren't allowed in. A park full of people who are just ecstatic to be there -- how fun!

It bothers me to hear people complain about things that they could have avoided if they would have done a little bit of research before their trip.

How can you enter the MK at 1:00 during peak season and get upset because the park is crowded?

Why would you have a meal at Prime Time Cafe and get upset because the CMs would not leave you alone?
