Alternative to borrowing

Looks like DVC is getting into the "point renting" business. Just got an email from them today which points to the news on the DVC member site.

Now for stays 7 months or less out, you can "buy" up to 24 "one time use points" for $15. Actually, it could be great for stays where you are just a few points short.

I just got the e-mail from DVC to go to their News section regarding this and I think it's a great idea. Helps out the member once in awhile and puts a little extra money in DVC's pocket.

I got the email too and being an owner of a conservatively sized contract, this program works great for me! I thought the price was very fair and will be so much less of a hassle than trying to rent a few points when I run short. I hope it lasts.

This is about 60% higher than the going point transfer/rental rate, but I guess its good news.

It might be higher than the going rate, but how many owners would be willing to rent only a few points at a time?

Although, the program sound strange "renting directly from Disney," it will work for me!!!
