Those are all SO CUTE! I can't wait to get them. BTW, sorry that my first group was identical. I didn't know if it would be OK to change them so I just made them the same. Sorry if they are boring.
Rebecca,
What am I doing wrong with my fun fur paper clip? Do I need to start in a certain place? Do I tie it onto the paper clip when I start? I thought it would all become clear when I started, but I'm still having trouble figuring it out. Forgive me for being a bit dense on this one. I really like the look of your clips, and I'm trying to get it right. Thanks for all your help.
I started by hooking a piece of it into the edge of the clip (where you can slide it onthe outside edge. I kept wrapping it around and pushing that section around as I got wraps done until it got to the top (so the paperclip was wrapped from the top all the way around to where the side has the short end. Then I wrapped from that section up around the clip until I reached the top. When I had both of them at the top I tied them together and used a glue dot to attach the flower to the fun furin the top area of the paperclip. Then I used another glue dot to attach the button on top of the flower. The spot I started wrapping at is the spot you would slide anything onto the clip from the outside at . I hope this makes sense as it is very hard to explain without having terms for the paperclip parts.
I knew I should of joined both groups! I just love those Mickey and Minnie heads, missesDisney! The apples and baskets would be great for my apple picking pages, the flip flops for my beach pages..... oh well, maybe I will need to create some more clips myself. This was a fun swap! You ladies have inspired me!
All packages except those waiting for postage went out this morning ~ please let me know when they arrive. Also, several of you got change, if you did it is taped to the outside of your baggie.
ugh, I sealed up the priority envelope before I got the postage... will snailmail it! ps-they didn't have the 4.60 stamps, so they gave me 8 million stamps that add up to 4.60.
I did use shank buttons. I got them at Mikes and used some light weight wire that you find in the floral section. I could get the buttons on fairly tigh so they wouldn't move, but didn't think about how to get the yarn thru after I had wired the button on! So I ended up putting the yarn on first after threading the button on the clip and than wired on the button. It was fun after I figured out a technique!
