Alright, Port Orleans Runners...

So I've always thought it might be fun to do a Run Disney event, but we never travel at the right time. So I am thinking about doing the June Virtual 5k next month while we are at Port Orleans. Figure I can knock it out before my family is even out of bed. Any thoughts on a 5k route around French Quarter and Riverside ?

Oh, yeah. And I figure I could run along the river between POFQ and POR. Just didn't know if there was some way to map out the best way to get in three miles.

I literally google “map a run” on my computer and can map it out before I go.

Ok, so I riffed on your idea using "Map My Run".

Looks like I can start at the farthest point of POFQ and run north along the Sassagoula. I'll go behind the main building at POR and run the outer perimeter of Alligator Bayou. Then I'll follow the path back along the river and hook around the southern-most mansion, where it looks like there's a small loop in the path(kind of like the loop in the Castaway Cay 5k). Run the loop, back past the mansion to the river. Cross the bridge, back south along the river, and return to my starting point at POFQ.
