Now, I'm really worried. I just had an extended conversation with my cat, Prince Theo, asking how his day was, and if he was comfortable there on my lap. Reassure me that I am not the only one who has done this??

LOL, no you aren't the only one. Lost of people talk to their animals as they help relive stress. But if they ever answer back  run for the hills. :teeth:

I have always said that if my dogs ever learn how to speak English, I am in a heap of trouble.

I talk to DD's goldfish all the time. I'll ask her how she's doing etc and when I come down early in the morning to go to the gym I apologize for waking her when I turn on the kitchen light. She usually swims right over when I start talking so I think she knows my voice, or maybe she's just hoping for some food.

I always speak to my pets, and my cats talk back. The bunny always has something to say when I give her cheerios in the morning, and the dog is talkative when we arrive home after being out... has to tell us stories about what the cats have done while we are gone.:p
